Are you talking lung damage or how high you get?

I don't think nicotine and THC have quite the same effect.

As for lung damage -- do they make filters for joints?
Because that's why MJ is worse than tobac. And you tend to inhale deeper and hold it in longer. I don't know if it's 20X though.

If ya smoke Camels then it's probably close to being the same.

P.S. Why did you post to this category, anyway?

When I was in college, my roommate, who was a psych major, told me this. The info came from one of his courses. I forget what specifically it was that was equivalent to a pack - probably the tar, since I never heard of anyone smoking a filtered joint. In any case, I not recommend engaging in either activity. The idea of introducing that kind of pollution into your lungs, along with all the other crap you are breathing in just walking around, is not very attractive.

This doesn't belong in this category. But anyway, marijuana eats up brain cells.. smoking doesn't have a huge impact on the body (it has been scientifically proven that smoking cigarettes is not directly linked to lung cancer).

Yes smoking one entire joint is equivalent to smoking an entire pack of cigarette's.... there is the same amount of tar and nicotine in one joint that there is a entire pack of cigarette's!!!

They are made of two different plants; they don't produce the same result. The ratio doesn't matter.
