take the dog and a half of a jalepeno or a fingerfull of hot sauceand rub it on the pups gums... show him/ her that you are rubbing a piece of laundy with the same( maybe just one piece of clothing) thats how i got my little monster to stop ripping up my carpet and eating the trim around my doors and shredding my curtains, and well the list of bad things he did goes on my i love that little booger. oh and when you tell him no... stare him down... i found out that if you stare the dog in the eye and the person that looks away first is the one that IS NOT in command.) so when he does do it make sure you say no and look him in the eye...

Water balloons?! That's extremely creative for sure...

When our dog does something that we don't want him to do, we say "No" forcefully, and make him "Lay down." Then after a count, when say "ok" and let him up. Maybe you could make him sit while you're doing the laundry.

I've heard of other people suggesting a "shake-can" - put a few pennies in a coke can, and tape up the hole. Have it on hand - when you see your dog going for the laundry - give the can a good shake near him to kind of startle him away. Sounds a bit cruel, but maybe he'll get the picture after a few times.

Better solution - just keep him away when you're hanging things out to dry!!

LOL!!!! That is so cute and annoying I bet. My dog still tries to bite the laundry as I'm folding it. I just say "HEY!" and she stops but always comes back for the next load.
Sorry I have no advice, just a common problem and I'd like to know a good solution too.
Good Luck! =0)

Don't rub jalapeno on your dog's gums! Please!

When you catch your dog doing this, make a BIG deal about it. YELL, but don't hit! Stomp around, get in your dog's face. Act like your dog has done the worst thing EVER. Once your dog turns around or crouches, stop and praise him/her. These things are a sign of distress/submissiveness, and you don't want to stress out your puppy too much.
