What is the best brand and best durability being that they are pricey, I have heard Corioliss, Chi, Sedu, Solia, Hai, what is the best at straightening and will last especially with my hair it is naturally curly and frizzy, I want to get it straight as a bone. Thanks. :)

Chi is a good straightener, but a bit over rated! I work as the manager of a beauty supply, and we carry a brand called the herstyler, it is amazing, we use one in our salon, and hair goes from curly to flat in seconds! and they get HOT really FAST! plus they come in different colors!
We sell the Chi straightners and the Hot Tools and the Gold and Hot brands as well, but we sell the Herstylers probably 3-1 they are a much higher quality than the others I have seen!
The website sells them for $200, we sell them for MUCH less!

if you have any questions let me know!

Just FYI, Chi is a big deal, because they were one of the first to introduce the ceramic plates, also you might want to look at one with tourmaline, it is even better than ceramic!

I love my maxiglide. I have naturally curly hair also but found other irons were damaging my hair. I also like a bigger plate so it doesn't take so long since my hair is also very long and thick. I've had it for 3 months now and I'm really happy with it. Sometimes infomercials have good stuff I guess. The only thing I regret is that I ordered the big package with the miniglide. I never use it at all but you might. Its suppose to be good for spiral curls. It even flips my hair so I don't have to use a curling iron after I straigten it.
There is a video showing how it works on their site.

Hopefully it will endure!

Chi is a straightener and it can also curl hair. Its a two in one, but it is very expensive. Its about $200, if you wanna spend as much go ahead. You can buy Conair, but not metal straighteners because it can damage your hair. You can get rid of frizzy hair by using frizz-eaze curly styles. Paul Mitchel is a good brand to get rid of a lot of hair problems.

I've heard CHI was good but i'd say most definatly anything with a cernamic plate.
