Please open your mouth and talk. I know she's intimidating, I know you're freaking out next to her but, without ever telling her that you like her, you will regret it for the rest of your life. The only way for you to get out of it is to ask and please do it soon and good luck. You'll need it.

Be blunt. Just come right out and ask her. If you get a negative answer try to take it in stride and move on. There is definitely someone out there for you. Also- A diamond necklace is a beautiful gift but why not wait until you are actually in a committed relationship before giving such an intimate and expensive gift?

Well I know it can be difficult, but you have to push the boundaries a bit. The necklace is a good start. Now push a little further. Go out to dinner, or cook her dinner. Compliment her more, drop the occasional not-very-subtle hint that you like her. Every time just show her more and more that you like her. If that doesn't work, get drunk and then blurt it all out at once (that will probably fail, however.)

Well, don't buy her stuff to say you want a relationship. Buy her stuff to say "I want you to have this".

She probably already notices you, but she can't read your mind. You have to tell her. The trick is telling her without affecting your friendship. Here's an outline for doing just that:

1. Affirm friendship - Say "No matter what happens, I want us to be friends forever"
2. Discuss your feelings - A. Love for her B. Desire to not lose friendship.
3. Discuss her feelings about your feelings - (here's the hot part)
4. Discuss if you will act on the feelings - Agree to date or not to date. Maybe even kiss to decide . . . you know what they say about a kiss.
5. Reconfirm relationship - If dating, then confirm dating for now, friends forever. If not, then it was a great idea but just between you two.

Do not continue to pursue her if it is just friends. She will value your asking without constant problems. Your greatest issue will be remaining the same if she says "friends". You have to consciously pay attention to your actions.

That being said, do this with confidence. Know that she might feel the same way. You're a great guy I'm sure . . just be yourself.

I think you're stuck in the friend catagory. You shouldn't spend money for a diamond necklace if she's not your girl. Don't let those jewelrey commercials get to you, you can tell her "you're always thinking about (her)" some other way.

She may be afraid of hurting you if she's fresh out of a relationship. Give her time to heal but don't give up on pursuing her (not in a stalker-ish way, though).
I was not the least bit interested in my current boyfriend (I was always the chaser in my relationships), but he was persistent, sweet and funny. Then one day he stopped asking me out and I got pissed. That's when I knew I was interested...
But stop buying her expensive stuff--you want to know that she's interested in you, not the stuff you can buy for her. There's plenty of time for that later (and you don't want to hear later about how you used to always buy stuff and now you never do!)

Sounds like you're stuck at "friend" status and you would like something more. There's only a couple real ways to let her know how you feel about her: tell her (not the manliest choice but it can work) OR make a move, kiss her.

Ok, trying to win her over by giving her expensive things isn't the best way to go about it. If you have been friends for a while and she hasn't shown any interest in taking it farther, I would just let it drop.

You should try going to dinners with her. Go casual places at first, then gradually go to more romantic places.
Also, call her just to talk, listen to what she has to say.

Last, if at anypoint you get a vibe, or even if you don't. Tell her how you feel, Tell her that you have feelings for her, maybe she'll surprise you!!

if you want her to notice you buy her little things like flowers or write love notes or hang out with her a lot and always let her know you will always be there for her and make sure she is very confortable with you so tell her or give her signs
