My 5 month old Pomeranian puppy has been throwing up. She has thrown up about 6 times in the past few hours. She seems normal. She is running around like crazy, still wants to eat and is drinking water. I haven't seen her eat anything that she shouldn't eat - she stays in the house and there arent any plants or anything that would harm her. I can't figure out why she would be throwing up. There isnt anything suspicious in her vomit - just food and fluids. Any advice on what I should do? She is up to date on all her shots. She is my baby and I'm just a worry wort when it comes to her! :-)

I feed her only dog food and dog treats. I give her a Bil Jack liver treat whenever she uses the bathroom outside. Other than that, she chews on her pig ear. She doesn't get human food.

Call the dog doctor or whatever its called and ask them what you should do. My best friends dog was throwing up a couple times the other day and she was perfectly fine but the reason was because she had been eating trash from the backyard. She was eating alot of garbage. My friends dog is a 1 year old pomerainian

Funny you should ask! I just went to the vet today about that. It is Kennal Cough. They seem like there coughing over and over again then throwing up clear fluid. And they act fine. Go to the vet when you get a chance ( we all know we cant make it there as fast as we can ) and they'll give your dog antibiodcts

A vet visit seems in order. Have to suggest though, that you mention a glucose test. Diabetes in dogs is much more common that anyone realizes, and vomiting is a symptom. (But, it could also be so many other things, too.. and most less serious.)
Check here for a list of symptoms you might compare to your dog...

Is your dog showing any other signs of distress? Diarrhea, listless, panting? If the dog seems okay otherwise, take food and water away from the dog for 24-36 hours. Do not give him anything to eat. If he seems unusually thirsty, give him iced cubes to lick, so that he gets fluid slowly. You need to give his gi tract a rest. If he is okay tomorrow, call the vets and ask them when you can start him back on his food.

My dog is throwing up occassionally . The Vet told me I need to be watchful what he is eating i.e hair. toys, bones which can cause abdominal bloating, indigestion... He 's just so sensitive. He also has diaria. He is a Bichon Frise. Anyhow you should take him to the vet 'cause they are experts. Good luck.

Pommies can be sneaky little furballs. She may have gotten hold of something when you weren't looking.
Mine used to get into everything when she thought no one was looking.
Have you tried letting her chew some grass? When my pommie would throw up she'd eat some grass and it would settle her stomach.

It could just be a simple virus but take your puppy to the vet ASAP.
