I have a 4 mth old chipin named Doja !!!! She has the energy of a 2 yr old!!! She is chewing up everything I own!! I take her for walks and she has all kinds of toys and raw hides but still insists on chewing on everything insight!! Im wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that she is teething???? or if there is something else I could possibly do to make her stop???

Well, I bought a non-toxic spray that tastes extremely bitter. (Don't ask how I know that). It didn't discourage my dog completely, she still ate through 14 pairs of my mother's shoes, but it definitely helped. Bottom line is that if they want to chew something badly enough, they will. Keep things up high.

Well for her age excessive chewing is normal. Some deterrents are available at local pet stores, such as one product called Bitter Apple. It is a non-toxic, odorless and stain free deterrent that has a bitter taste. Spray this on items that you do not want her to chew on.
Just like a child shes trying to numb the pain by chewing. Pet stores do carry freezable chew toys for teething puppies. You may also want to try soaking a rag in water, ringing it out and freeze it so she will have something cold to numb her gums.
What you want to avoid is giving her too many toys at once. She should only have 2-3 toys out at a time, but switch them up so she doesn't get bored. This will help to avoid her from thinking everything is her toy. Also, never scold the dog for chewing up personal items, no matter how much you want to. Any attention you give the dog, whether it good or bad, is attention that she is seeking.
I hope this helps. Good luck!!

Scold her when she has something bad, then praise her when she takes what she is supposed to have from you. It is a huge pain but they do get better with time. Watch her like a hawk otherwise you may have to replace more that shoes.
My dog stopped chewing everything around 7 1/2months. I got her from the pound at 6 month old because her owners gave her up for being too destructive. After 1 1/2 months of her destroying half of my house, she just stopped one day and was chewing her toys. It was really weird, like all the disciple sank in overnight.

Well considering her age, she is going through the lovely stage of losing her puppy teeth and gaining her adult teeth. This will go on for awhile, and my best advice is 2 things. Go crazy buying new toys for her to chew on, or 2 buy some bitter apple and give that a whirl. But i would say the constant flow of new toys would work better.

I know you said you walk her but how often. Dogs need to be taken on EXTREMELY long walks especially during the puppy stage. As i have told many other people you need to be assertive, tapping the dog on the side of the face and standing tall next to her will let her know you are pack leader and that you mean business. If the two of you ever lock eyes, never look away. The first person to look away is the one admitting defeat making the other pack leader. I work with dogs so i know the psychology side of them that most people aren't aware of. If you need further tips my email is bman1220@yahoo.com I'll be more than happy to go into more detail with you about how to break these bad habits.

Its just a stage - it'll get better. Try buying a bitter spray. I bought some and used it on my furniture etc. with my pomeranian puppy and it really worked.

Puppies do chew more when they are teething. Keep that in mind! Praise your puppy when it is chewing the right things and scold when chewing the wrong ones! When chewing something she shouldn't, replace it with something she should be chewing instead.

im pretty sure that its teething, and u cant do any thing bout it. maybe if u try to leave her in one place for a long time it will get better. and in that one place put all her toys.
