Puppies are like human babies they explore everything with their mouths.
A couple of suggestions would be:
Everytime she puts her mouth on your hand or whatever she's biting put something in her mouth she can chew on and praise her.
She can start learning some now, so teach her how to sit. Give her attention only after she sits. I like to keep them on a leash when roaming around the house so that you can do immediately correct the behavior.
Another thing about puppies is they need lots of excerise. Get her out and playing, "a good dog is a tired dog"
I would think about puppy classes soon so that she is well socialized.

#1) Your dog will chew on nearly everything until she is 6 to 8 months old. Hands included. (p.s.: 10 wks old is a little young for a show of aggression. Still, you should let her know hands are off-limits).

#2) German Shephards usually go between 70 and 110 pounds. Females tend to be on the smaller side.

#3) You didn't ask, but I'm telling you anyway - go out of your way to socialize her - get her used to as many dogs and people as necessary, even if it means sitting outside the supermarket and letting people come up and say "awwww" and pet her. I'm serious. Males are more possessive than females, but the more socializing you can give a shephard, the better. Golden Retrievers are social by nature - German Shephards are not, so you have to work on it. Really - do it. You'd hate to put her down when she is 6 or 7 because you didn't socialize her to other people and dogs when she was a puppy.

Enjoy!

A 10 week old puppy is not teething. They don't lose their baby teeth until 5 or 6 months old.

Your dog doesn't know how to play nice with humans and is using her teeth too much. You must teach her how to play properly with humans - she has no idea unless you show her. If you don't do it now, she's going to continue and the bites will be worse as she grows.

When she nips your skin or clothing let out a "YIPE" and stop the game IMMEDIATELY. Stand up, turn away from her, cross your arms and ignore for 10 seconds. This is the way she will know that she went too far. Over time she will learn that all games will stop when teeth hit skin. When she's calm, you may resume playing with her in a more relaxed manner. Don't let her get too over-excited or she may not be able to stop at this young age. It's up to you to control the games.

it might be both. her teeth might be irratating her which seems like the reason why she bites you. but she might also bite because she is aggressive. you should ask a whole nother question for how to control/train aggressive dogs. German Shepherds will grow between 23-25 inch height on all fours im not sure about lengthwise or while sitting

German Shepherds are a large breed. They can get to be 26 in. I have a female sitting next to me who is about 24. If she is growling when she bites, it could be aggression. It most likely just her teeth coming in. Try wetting a washcloth and putting it in the freezer. When it freezes, give it to her to chew on; good luck!

When the puppy bites just say very firmly no. If the puppy keeps it up them put it outside straight away (or in the laundry) for a short time out. If this doesnt work you could try using a loud noise like a whistle which the dog will not like and blow the whistle when the dog bites. Do not ever smack the dog or it will end up agressive.

It's because of her teething.. Most puppies bite anything when teething so do real babies.. Just when she bites you say no and then give her a toy to chew on.. Sometimes when are puppies teeth we give them ice or like I said a toy of some sort.

Good luck!

Your domestic dog does not have a biting problem, and it isn't basically teething. that's how domestic dogs play is through mouthing one yet another. in case you opt for her to give up, then scream ouch really loud, out her down, and then bypass away. this may end the play consultation and after a pair circumstances, the domestic dog receives the message and comprehend if it needs to play it has to give up the biting.

My parents and I have been training dogs for years....... I know its sounds mean but honestly it works because they hate the feeling... you should stick your finger in there mouth just enough to make them gag and tell them NO BITE !!! It may be due to teething but you cant allow it or theyll never stop!!!!!!
