Well, the USSR enforced atheism upon the people so one could look to that model for the answer. The USSR attempted world domination under Communism, but some of the greatest lack of peace was within its borders, if we understand peace in the sense of Shalom, components of which are security, safety, justice, etc.
In the end the question cannot be answered because there will always be religion, whether the focus is diety or the state or the self, and the latter two offer no peace whatsoever.

No. I think that without humans there would be peace on Earth. Religion just provides yet another thing for humans to argue about.

No, the Bible teaches there will always be war and conflict over religion, till Jesus returns.
Even without religion there will be war. Humans fight over oil for hell sakes. It is all about money and control, and for that there will never be world peace. Man doesn't have the ability to create a Utopia on earth. We are imperfect, and so the world we be imperfect until Jesus returns.

No. There IS one true God, and there will always be someone who will follow Him. If there were "no" religion, if it were outlawed, then that person would be persecuted, and it would just cause more disruption, and eventually it would turn into war and all the stuff the leaders wanted to avoid.
Or if there REALLY were no God or religion, then there would be no moral standard, and the world would be complete anarchy and chaos. Then again, if there were no God, we wouldn't be here, so it's a moot point.

It is true that religion may be the catalyst for some wars, but it isn't the cause of conflicts in the big scheme of things. Greed is, think about that and apply it to all instances of fighting, it generally will be the underlying cause. Greed is part of human nature unless the human is taught differently. Religion sometimes supplies the moral code against greed.

We will have a much better shot at it. To the pea brain that thinks lack of religion is synonymous with Communism and Nazism and Stalinism; there's no inherent connection. The terrible crimes perpetrated by those governments were due to their being dictatorships, not atheist societies (fyi - Hitler wasn't even an atheist) Almost all Atheists today would endorse democracy. Your reasoning (or lack thereof) is stupid. Think before you answer.

I don't think so. Humans would just find something else to fight about. We can't leave well enough alone. I think a world without religion would be bad as it helps many people get through hard times and gives them something to believe in. Everyone needs something to believe in, not necessarily religion though.

There can never be peace on the earth
Unless all the nations
Embrace the way of Alone God
And forget
Their self-made
Religious differences.
The Lord of Abraham
The Ahura of Zoroaster
The Eishwar of Krishna
The Jehovah of Moses
The God of Jesus
The Allah of Muhammad
is the AlMighty One Alone God Only who is the Creator and Nourisher of us all.
THE SUPREME LORD
Who said in the Godly voice
“I, and I alone, am God
and all other gods
(or goddesses and demigods)
are unreal.”
(Bible Duet. 32:39)
“Worship no god but Me”
(Exodus 20:3)
“Worship no god but Me”,
clearly means that:
“There is no god but Me.”
The same Words has been revealed by the Lord through the Lord’s Revelation, Al-Quran:
“There is no god but Allah
(The One Alone God)”
so, PEACE here in this world and there in the Hereafter, can be ensured through obedience of the Lord, the Holy One alone; in accordance with the Lord’s commandments, given in all the Scriptures, already, possessed by the people of the Scriptures.
Therefore, the Lord of Moses (PBUH) and the Lord of Muhammad (PBUH) and the Lord of Jesus (PBUH) and the Lord of Krishna (PBUH) is the same, Alone Lord who is known as Our God, the One and the Alone and the Absolute Holy.

I would disagree.
(Disclaimer- this is written from a Christian viewpoint.)
In the NT, Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Not as the world give I...." My understanding of this passage is that it is the influence of His Holy Spirit that increases people's patience with and love for others, decreases tempers, etc.
I don't know of any religion that officially and actively promotes violence. Unfortunately, every religion I know of is made up of human beings- insecure, flawed, confused, frustrated/frustrating as we are, and I guess it's human nature that is the cause of conflict- in our homes, at work, in the courtrooms, and in the trenches of war.
