I have the same problem too. My mother favors my brother and always has. They are even supporting him and gave him a free house to live in for 33 years now. I've tried to talk to her but she doesn't listen to a word. She's always right no matter what. Now she won't speak to me because I brought it up, not even a merry christmas card, what should I do?

Just be who you are, nothing you say to your mother will change her mind, or you are just assuming she has a favorite...
Growing up my brother was the favorite to my mother, as we got older my mom found out what a assethole my bro was and now she treats us all the same...Could be a culture thing, in Italy the sons are treated better than the daughters, i think my mother realizes now she was wrong for doing this.......

Talk to your mother and let her know how you feel. Mothers love their kids the same, but sometimes we treat one different from the others because all kids are different. If one stands out and is more helpful and caring than the others that may make us treat that one different from the others. Talk to her I'm sure she doesn't do it on purpose.

I have this same problem. My mom prefer my older sister to anything or anyone. I just explain to my mom that this is not right. If she continues to do this I will have to ignore her for a few weeks and have other favorite people. This always works and mom will realize what she does is not right. Hope this helps a little.

Pay your mother no attention because the one that she pays the most attention to is going to fail her in the long run and the one that she pays no attention to is going to make her so proud and then in return you get to laugh in her face.

That is plain wrong. Sit your Mother down and tell her that it hurts your feelings that she does this and to please stop it. She can't get mad at your for simply expressing your true and honest feelings.
