We were together 11 years and broke up in Oct. I know we will not get back together. Do you think he would mind if I send quick text msg that said "Happy New Year". No harm right? Please advise. Thanks all.

I really understand you. All I beent thinking this whole week is if I should txt this guy I like to tell him "Happy New Year". First of all, I might think he will start thinking that I'm greedy or begging him. At the same time I don't want to feel like I'm bugging him. But now that I read your question, I actually understood that there's nothing wrong with that. I think you should go for it and tell you ex fiance that you wish him a happy new year. To me that's like saying "god bless".

That would depend on what you expect out of the Text. Is it just a Happy New Year Text or is it a I want you back text? It is OK if you have good intention behind it.

you at the instantaneous are not attempting to easily be her buddy. you opt for to maintain a presence in her existence questioning that she'll come decrease back. do not enable her lease any more desirable area on your head. You somewhat bypass her concepts. the faster that you get honest with your self, the faster you may bypass on. give up providing to be there for her, as a buddy, at the same time as which couldn't what you experience. Be your own ideal buddy and redirect your interest in the route of a lady that returns your affection. search for the propose of a counselor that can help you you get previous this and God bless.

Very much harmful. Don't know whose ideal it was for y'all to break up. But this break up is still new and emotions are still probably raw, give him time to get over you.

You may know there is no chance to get back together, he might still be hopeful it has only been about two months and y'all was together for 11 years.

as long as he doesn't hate u for some reason. if it's just one of those "it wasn't meant to be" kind of things then i'm sure he'll even be glad to hear from u. maybe he's even hoping to send u a message, but isn't sure if u want it. if he doesn't approve of your message, then tell him the truth, u just wanted to wish him a happy new year's. if he's glad than that's a good thing.
u should send it to him especially if u ended the relationship with a "maybe we can still be friends" thing. if not than maybe u sending him this will turn it into that type of thing.
wish u luck!

You broke up and you know you will never get back together again, so why do you want to text him? You are not over him, if you have the desire to text him.

first thing i would ask is what kind of relationship do you have with your ex? if you have zero contact with your ex then i would say no.. dont do it. but if you have a friendship with your ex.. then i would say sure.. go for it. i believe it or not.. am best friends with my ex and i send him texts on special occasions and sometimes out of the blue. but i know he is not dating anyone else.. and i know he doenst mind. now.. if he did mind and was dating someone else.. then i wouldnt do it. so i would say.. think of all these things and make a judgement call..

good luck :)

It depends on the breakup. Was it mutual or messy? If it wasn't messy I do not see any harm in doing it. Just do not expect him to want you back. If it happens great, if not dont be too upset. You guys did split for a reason.

if you wont worry about what he might think or if he will reply or not, then i think its ok. if afterwards youll be anxious of whatever the simple greeting have done, then dont. sometimes its better to leave things as they are.
it will also depend on how you broke up. if you both want to stay friends and you are very, very sure that there are no hard feelings, go ahead.
goodluck =)

It wouldn't hurt anything. I dated a guy for two years, several years ago and we were engaged, we broke up but everynow and then we still send each other emails and all.
