Just because he doesn't want to go, doesn't mean you can't go without him. Doesn't he trust you? What kind of relationship is that if you can't do things apart and not worry about it? Couples do not have to do everything together. Time spent apart doing your own thing can be quite healthy. Too much togetherness isn't going to allow you room to grow, explore and discover things that can actually help the relationship. One should not have to lose their independence and individuality once they become a couple.

Well, Cindy, I think if that is the case, you should try to talk to your husband and go tell him that you should have a give and take kind of relationship. When he wants to go somewhere, he wants you to come so in return, when you wanna go to hawaii, i think he must go with you also.

Sorry, but if I wanted to go somewhere and my husband said that to me, I would tell him that he could stay home if he wanted to...I wouldn't be angry.
I don't mean to be rude but that is my advice based upon the way the question is worded.

Well if you are over 18 and hes not your dad you can go where ever you choose. but what your experiencing is called Power and Control hes is using his power to control you in a way that only benefits him and that is a form of domestic abuse

ask him why he doesnt want to go. he must have his reasons. then be ready to defend and support your reason why you want to go there! do it nicely, if not sweetly =) use your convincing powers. tell him this is a chance to be together in such a beautiful place and it would make you happy. im sure he'll give in if everything is ready except his approval.

go to Hawaii, why risk not going to a breathtaking place just so you could babysit? or...tell him if he goes with you, you are going to give him some loving...when the two of you get there...
