I was granted K3 visa and my daughter K4 visa at the same time. We got it last October, in the middle of my daughter's schooling. We were given 2 years stay here. I wanted to adjust myself here in the US before bringing her.say like six months so i can help her cope up especially that she's only 6. I left her with my mom and planning to get her here on March, the end of the school year. so she's in grade 2 when she gets here. I am afraid that her visa will expire. Does anbody know when will her K4 visa expire? It says in her passport that it will expire on 2008 but i heard it is only valid for 6 months. I need to get her out of the country before that time expires. Is it true?

K3 and K4 visas are valid for 24 months from the date of issuance. Other people you have spoken with might be confusing those visas with K1 and K2, which are valid for 6 months.

She can come here with her K4 visa as long as it doesn't expire, which you said it was in 2008, so I wouldn't worry.
