Every time I put my pittbul outside alone, he starts crying bloody murder! When i first heard him cry like this, I thought it was some poor, dying animal, desperatly screaming for help, and the worst part is, ITS SO LOUD!!!!!. At night, he never lets me sleep, and my neighbors are starting to complain about the horrible noise. Please somebody help me, he's driving me crazy!!!!

You have to be assertive and let him know you are pack leader. Put him outside, you stay in, if he starts whining you go out tap the side of his face hard, say shh, LOOK HIM IN THE EYES and do not look away, wait for him to look away from you. When a dog breaks eye contact with you, that is his way of excepting you as pack leader. This will not work the first time it will take multiple times 'till he learns you aren't going to put up with it. Also don't spoil your dog, this causes him to always want to be with you. Never yell at him or spank him, that will only cause negative affects on the dogs physiological behavior and remember, dogs don't speak English. At night, he should sleep in a crate with a sheet covering at least three sides. A crate is a dogs "safe haven" if the dog is in a cage and begins to cry, bang the cage hard and loud, remember, you don't need to yell, just smack the cage to scare him but do keep in mind that this will not work the first time either, training a dog to break bad habits takes time.

try putting your dog in the house in a smaller room with gates so she cant walk all over the house. Then your dog should get used to a kennel environment. Get a decent sized kennel. with a dog house and cushion. after a week or two try putting your dog in the kennel during the day when your howm but dog doesnt know and see what she does, cry or not. your dog could just have a hard time being alone or thinks your not coming back when you put her outside. Also tell your dog where you'll be going. If you got to the store , tell your dog, tell her you WILL be back. Also try puting your dog. outside and do like mini- tests with the coming and going part. The dog may jsut need a place of her own that the dog knows is hers ie the kennel. That the dog wont be there all night or day. Call the Vet as well and ask, I am sure they also could give good tips , they know what to do when animals are scarred or axnious.

Can't you make it a place inside, maybe the bathroom or a laundry room or even a crate. They are pack animals and it doesn't know why you put it out at night. I don't either. It needs to be safe in the house and with you. Just give it a try, it will work out. Good luck.

Why are you putting him outside alone at night?? If he is used to being inside with you during the day, then you toss him out into the cold night, you can't blame him for being lonely and scared and telling you about it!!! You either need to let him stay indoors at night, or start teaching him to stay outside during the day. Good Luck!!

I sure hope you live down south. Major temperature changes, such as being indoors and then going outdoors in winter can KILL a dog. Poor thing probably is freezing. If you can't care for it bring it to the animal shelter and they'll find someone who can.

Your dog has separation anxiety!!! Don't worry, my dog had it too. I took my German Sheperd to this local place that helped me train her to stay quiet whenever we left the house. If it's not psychological, then there might be something like a plant outside that irritates him.

Let him sleep inside. Make a little warm bed for him inside the house.
