I'm having a c-section Feb 22nd. And need to get moving on the nursery. I do NOT know the sex. And I refuse the paint the bedroom, Yellow or Green. Does anyone have any nice suggestions on what I can do?

I'm thinking a nice baby blue color, and if its a girl, just girl it up.

yes, baby blue will be best and then you can always add decorations if it's a girl to make it look girly.

Well, our friend came in and painted our room for us as a baby gift. He did wonderful yellow/white stripes- it almost looks like wall paper. But it's not a bright yellow- just a natural looking color, that isn't too bright, but looks very nice- we also didn't find out the sex. I bought the classic winnie the pooh bedding and decorations for my baby's room- it all looked very nice. Then, when he was born :) I added a lot more blue to the room- changing pad cover, extra sheets that were blue, blue blankets, etc. I'm very satisfied with it all :) But do what your heart tells you. I personally don't care for yellow and green colors either, but it turned out so great I love it! Just go and try to pick a color that suits you and goes with your bedding if you already have it.

Oh it's soooo exciting to find out the sex... I woke up from my c-section and my husband was holding our son... and I asked him what the baby was, and he said boy. I said, "are you kidding?" (my husband jokes all the time lol), he said nope! It was really neat and exciting :)

Congrats and goodluck!!!

My mom painted my little brothers room in pastel baby colors, blue, green, yellow, and pink, one wall of each.

She left the ceiling white, and then put a blue light in the ceiling fixture so that it would not be so bright in the night for feedings and pamper changes.

If you wanted to decorate further, then you could put bright pictures of each colors on the matching wall, that way baby would have something attractive to look at. I would make the pastel pink side with a bright red, and have a vibrant yellow on the yellow wall, and so on...

Why stick with a solid. Use your lavenders and roses, upper half and lower half and put a nice childrens theme wallpaper border where they join. Do some window trims in yellows and blues. After all, boy or girl, it doesn't matter if it's a bright, cheery and happy room. A place for good things to grow in.

Lite blue sounds nice...Or how about a uni-sex mural on one wall... Or paint the room white and have the ceiling blue with clouds and on one wall a tree mural or something of the sort..
My brother is an artist and has done serveral rooms for older children with murals on the walls...but for a baby a clouded ceiling and tree/meadow scene on one wall.... Just a thought

I think blue is good as well. My friend painted her baby girl's room blue and decorated it with a dolphin theme. So cute.

I would paint it white they have such pretty borders for babies rooms. I would just do the border on the top by the ceiling.
