The price of fruit wouldn't go up, in fact it would go down if they used prisoners. I'm tired of paying taxes supporting them too, as they go to college after going on crime sprees. I like that Sheriff in Texas and how he let's prisoners pay their way and get in touch with nature.

I wouldn't phrase it that way but I would agree. Illegal workers break the free market balance. They say they only perform jobs that Americans will not do. That is because illegal workers will perform these jobs at below market value. In addition, they created a stigma to these jobs that they are "Mexican Jobs" and many almost require Spanish now. It is true that some produce and other products made in the US would get more expensive or farmers may need to sell their land but the free market would drive the most efficient use of the land. Either the quality of the produce would need to be better or a more profitable crop would be selected, etc.

Illegal aliens are stealing from our infrastructure and economy. This country was founded on a melting pot, but these people wanted an opportunity for themselves. Not to be burdens on society. It is very true that they typically have strong worth ethics and should not be considered lazy, but they there are legal methods to the same end.

They by enlarge burden our social systems and economy greater than they help. Schools and medical care are two of our most serious domestic problems and they are completely exacerbated by the influx of illegal aliens.

Most sane americans don't commit crimes because they are ILLEGAL. Coming into America without right is, ILLEGAL. Americans don't sneak into other countries illegally, at least not in the fashion that created the problem in America. It all boils down to one basic fact, it is ILLEGAL and should not be allowed, but should be punished by deporting the criminals.

I wasn't going to answer, but Jeff P, do you really think the economy went into a depression BECAUSE illegals were deported? There was will to deport so many BECAUSE there was a depression!

(Schools are getting worse than I thought!)

i would love to see the price of fruit go up or down if it meant people were getting treated fairly and were able to feed their families and if life was made genuinely better for people that have to struggle. I don't know the solution--I just want things to work the most efficiently for all God's people.

No, you wouldn't. why? because deporting someone costs a lot of money. Guess who pays for it: You. And the government has estimated that paying for deportation is roughly twice as much on average as it would cost to pay medical costs and such (They pay into medicare and social security but are not eligible to receive anything.)

Your taxes would go up, and the economy might go into a recession, as happened in 1929 when we did deport all the illegal immigrants.

I'd love to see the price of air go up if all the short bus riding idiots who think "aliens" are the problem would get taken up in the "rapture" and leave the rest of us who think all people are really equal alone. Maybe we should get white christians to do the hard labor.
