Rather than asking a question you have made a statement and by your statement you have shown you are not open to another point of view, so I will just answer thusly:
If Martin Luther King is so great, how come he's dead?
If Gahndi is so great, how come he's dead?
One's greatness is not predicated upon whether or not he or she is dead. What makes one great is whether or not they have made a positive impact upon society, the world, humanity, etc. Whether Jesus is God or not, one must, being honest, say his actions fit the criteria for greatness - despite the abuses that might have taken place in his name.
For the book, though, Christ is not dead. For this I reference the Bible, which is the authoritative source regarding Jesus.

I'm sorry nobody told you about the fact that Jesus is alive forevermore and sitting at the right hand of the Father. He IS the Resurrection and the Life and rose again the third day having conquered death, hell and the grave. How is it you've missed the Easter message 'til now or are you just playing dumb? Either way, you have no excuse not to believe in Him now because you know the truth. He gave His life willingly so that you might have life more abundantly through faith in His shed blood to cover all your sins if you will ask Him into your heart and then live for Him. Then you will understand why He is so great when He lives in your heart and is your best friend!

When I saw your question, I knew I'd be seeing some interesting answers.
Many of them say that Jesus isn't dead, that he's alive. Many say that he rose from the dead.
For me, these answers raise still another interesting question:
Did Jesus know, as they were getting ready to crucify him, that he was going to come back to life in only three days? Did he know that in only three days he was going to rise from the dead?
If so, then how can we say that he made a great sacrifice for us? It seems to me that he sacrificed only three days. And, if we believe that he is God and knows everything, then he KNEW he was only going to be dead for three days.
Of course, even a sacrifice of only three days is a pretty nice thing to do. But it isn't like he sacrificed his life or anything, just three days.
I see one guy answered that Jesus is alive "forevermore". What??? . . . . That's some sort of huge sacrifice? . . . . . Losing only THREE DAYS when you know you're going come back to life in only THREE DAYS and live forever and evermore?

He's not dead. He is alive and lives in my heart. He is also sitting at the right hand of his father in Heaven, and he will Judge you for every word that you speak and every action that you do. I will be praying for you.

Even older people have to get busy somehow else or get maniac out of keeping at it and good. Elementals would have tremendous energy and kitenic abilities if matter would not collapse and rot giving birth to other kind of places, without suffering and endorphines. If these newborn are not to enable or commit they could be in better hands by preparing some serious answers to deletion and tao itself. They are to enable an exam or methadone extraction, and we all must approve of this to go on with the previous existance, that without charges or arrest of feelings, to breed into love and no worries. This blissful state of no insuline or cortisone is death, and we all deserve it after a while, so being great and powerful does portray you and others beyond the original state, specially with the slingshot of evolution and yes, very distressed attibute of suffering and body loss, it is not very appealing after some time, but humor and anfetamines will aid your focus into oblivion, no doubt.
Now considering provided information, Jesus and company, all mondochewan and agnus dei are breed into life by corruption of data and divorce, or there would be marked differences with other portions of population, exactly younger and eager folks, those who respect some and care for it too, likable enough I´d say. Sometimes it is needed that we take some charge of personality or natural results out so others can see into their own faults or misscharges, this is normal until one posseses the much credited and observed feature. No need to turn. Yes, you are good intended.
Christ will assume some ugliness and defects, transform them with will and lapse of choice, just like we help each other the christ will assist with candor, not just eloquence. Here begins the transformation of animals elsewhere into better animals, and many die after not too many years to find they did not want to pass, and provided they did pay attention, not too much effort but disdain for self is needed to let time grow old and wise in one´s personality and affections.
Jesus is dead to personify the pass of kali and time, meaning he will born again in 3500 years with so many others of that time ago, and most of they will be in Ukraine, Bilefa, area of nature.
Of course we know this area of ours is in the recessions of matrix and imagination future, close to what we term the cycle of life, or examination procedure.
Now if you insist on knowing why this sucker or so died 2000 years ago being so great, it is because he cared enough and wanted some after all, we are animals, right? at least I know we all are, just like most inhabitants, except for the megalomaniacs and other deranged yet conscious people. Do not give them the grievance of yet more knowledge, we are alive right? wrong, according to science, methadone in fetal tissue is a condition for necrosis, so perhaps as some already believe, we are all dead and healthy enough to be home and engage in other activities to astral journey and metabolism, a very cruel form of methafisics and meditation.
Meditation used to be banned from group activities, yet as with breathing and sex, it is otherly realized in groups to the appaling discovery of very serious studiers of the esoteric activities (cheese dwellers).

Jesus is not dead only his human body is. He is not God but the great son of God who came to teach by example how to Love God and become free of sin by following Trough. Following his life example is how we become free from sin Say the original followers of Christ the Essenes go to gospelofthenazirenes for the original New Testament before King Constantine Misconstrued everything.

You didn't finish the story. Christ has risen from the grave and He is seated in the Heavenly realm with the Father. He is our high priest and someday you shall meet Him. Then you can praise Him for the greatest of what He has done. Get ready.
