I am spending New years eve in New orleans and was looking for something more interesting (or at least more tasteful) than spending it on bourbon st.
Has anyone ever taken the new years steamboat cruise on the Natchez? Its $175 with an open bar, is it worth it? Is it only adults, or is it like a normal night when they allow children?

I don't know about the natchez cruise, but you can get some ideas from nola.com (click on the new years link). There are many things to do... this is sugar bowl weekend which is in no and lsu is playing, there's a saints game in the dome on sun, check out tipatina's, house of blues, and howlin wolf websites..they have bands and open bar on new years eve. there is also a fireworks show on the river (you can watch from the riverwalk) and bands playing in jackson square. I live 15 min from the french quarter and will be there that night-enjoy yourself. you have to make sure you go to two places cafe du monde to get french donuts and cafe masparo's on Decatur st. excellent food at a great price!!! you'll love new orleans.also, there are christmas lights and a celebration in city park that will continue through new years and there is something going on at the museum of art in no. trust me you won't be bored. you will find something to do- i know it!!..happy new year!!!

I've never been on the Natchez cruise.. but have been wanting to for a while. I'm not going for New Years though.. i'm going on my anniversary with my boyfriend in Jan. .. i heard the cruise was nice ..

i'd say.. if you've never been before.. and you've got the money for it on New Years.. then why not ?

Well.. if you decide not to go ... and find somthing cool .. please message me !

Being a l. a. interior of sight ! The excursions suck.. in the event that they have been 0.5 the fee then in line with threat i could flow yet they're way overpriced .. you could't see something at night on the Mississippi !
