I have this problem too. I think most of us do.
I was on the pill for 12 years, and my skin was beautiful. I went off the pill last february and got an iud. Now my skin is breaking out often, and right before I should have my period. I hate it. I discussed it with my doctor, and he said it's because i'm not on the pill anymore.
So I don't know how old you are, or if this is an option, but birth control pills seem to help with acne. They take total control of your hormones, which is the problem if you're breaking out cyclicly.

no alcohol and no proactive are u nuts... it will over dry face causing more break out.... make it a ruotine to wash your face twice a day according to your skin sensativity and put face lotion on with spf 15 or higher espeacially after u wash ur face ...instead of using alcohol , astingent is better plus a dermatologist really knows what would work so make an appointment with one because if you scar it can damage skin plus no popping ok and if you want to pop use the tools for that i believe sephora sells .no hands when popping b/c it spreads bacteria..change your pillow case every two weeks or sooner because it does also carry bacteria... also Cell PHONES!!!! clean them they are major pimple producers.... .i had the same problem but now their under control the only thing is i get a little one here and there but barely................ and if all this doesn't work..Birth control may be a good option!!

calm down..i have pimples starting when i have my growth spurt. I know it's terrible!!!
First you have to wash your face everytime you come back from outside because dirts is the main cause for pimples eventhough you said it's hormonal but don't dirt can make it even worse =S
One thing you should remember!!! DON'T YOU EVER POKE IT. Let it dry out by itself, it looks ugly but you must leave it (apply your medicine on it everyday too, i'm using pan cosmetic, don't know you heard of it before or not).
If you poke it, it will left a scar that would be on your face fore at least 2 months and you don't want it of course.
hope i did help you with something, but if not, I'll try to find other solutions for you. =D
by the way, don't take medicine.. because when you take medicines, your face will be really dry and when you stop taking that drug, the pimple will come back even more ..

Totally hormonal. If you are nearing your forties then it's pre-menopausal, nearing thirties baby type hormones, etc. You need to find a products containing diatonatious earth in it.. I am not sure of the spelling but it sounds like ( dieatonashus) This is a mud mask and you put it on the pimples and go to bed with it on and then wash away in the daytime you can use it like a mask for added benefit too.

It is hormonal. Being a woman, you can't count on your body doing the same thing month after month. This may just be a phase your body is going through. There are some months where I won't get them at all, and others where I will break out. It all depends on the stress level you are at and how hormonal you are.

If its hormonal you'll just have to ride it out. The best thing you can do is NOT PICK. Do not try and bust or pierce them yourself. They will heal much faster if you leave them alone. You can spot treat the blemish with salycilic treatments at night. If it busts by itself, treat it like a wound (with peroxide etc) to prevent more infection (which can lead to scarring). Once it starts to go away, you can use a cream with Retinol/Glycolic Acid or other alpha hydroxy acids (Neutrogina makes one) to help the left over redness clear up.

Clearasil Clean & Clear Continuous Control 2-4 times a week - NOT EVERY DAY....stay away from Chocolate and caffeine and candy. Proactive is good - but you need to stick with it and do it exacty as it says. You may also want to make a shampoo change too....

Yours is definitely hormonal, see a good skin specialist and follow his advice to the letter. Do not go to bed at night with make-up on your face. Wash your face each day at least twice with a good soap and water and use a good astringent afterwards. Most importantly, DO NOT SQUEEZE!
