I am dating a guy who is divorced with four children who live in a different state. Every month he sees them for a week. Whenever he is with the children he barely calls and tells me he is really busy with the kids. He may send a quick e-mail and say how busy he is and will talk to me later so I don't bother calling him. Does this sound odd?? Or is it logical that one guy taking care of four small children would be so busy that he chooses to wait a week or two to contact his girlfriend? I have discussed it with him and he just says that when he is with the kids he is running around crazy all day and is exhausted at night.

hmm... sounds odd to me... i have found that if they cant take a few mins to let u know they are thinking about u then they are not all that into you..... it hurts to think about it, but you're better off to realize it now and maybe get out sooner... good luck

Makes perfect sense to me that 4 small children would take up all of his time. I doubt the ex wife accompanies the children once a month to spend a week with him. Relax.
Tell him when the time is right, you'd like to be included in an outing with the children.

You have to remember, he only sees them 1 week a month. He sounds like a really devoted father and there is nothing wrong with that. Taking care of one child is hard enough but taking care of 4 small children has to be exhausting. Don't let it get to you.

If he is really divorced with four small children then yes I would say he is to busy to call a girlfriend. He may also not want his children to meet you until he knows you better.
Also that week is his time to spend with his children, and it may complicate matters if they see him with another woman (trying to take their mothers place), so it is best that they not meet you until y'all are ready to get married.

This is not any different when a single mother is busy with her children. I give him a lot of credit for being a good father, and you do have to understand that maybe he does not want any distractions when he is with the children, and furthermore remember that they will always come first.

hes sleeping with someone else....i dont really know, but it is a possibility. If he cared about you enough he would call you even if he was soooo busy....dump him!
