in the start, the earth is going with the help of classes of warming and cooling. we are in an interglacial era at present. about 10,000 years from now the ice would have melted. And 10,000 years in the past, there replaced right into a heck of a lot extra. The east coast used to bypass way extra out than it does now. Continents had land bridges. It replaced right into a diverse ecosystem. Florida will be lengthy gone. Sections of the east coast like lengthy island will be lengthy gone. now to not say we are able to not have worked out a fashion of preventing it. And that is assuming that the Antarctic ice sheet melted. i'm not declaring that we do not damage the planet. we are recuperating. The ozone is regenerating. global warming is right here to stay by way of the indisputable fact that is element of the earths cycle. that's going to warmth, the elements will replace, rain kinds will replace. human beings will adapt. Then yet another glacial era will come and that's going to opposite. not that vast of a deal. do not poison the earth, yet she does a extremely good pastime of regulating herself. anyhow so a procedures as yet another planet. it may ought to have many variables besides as we may ought to have the purposes to attain that planet and colonize. that's only a count number of time.

Mmmm...,to save the Earth! The most efficient way is let the human vanish in the Earth. "many animals, plants and tree are slimming down"..because of human. Therefore, if human is disappear, then the problem is solved. That's simple! ^_^

By being an example. Be the one to pick up the litter on the ground instead of thinking someone else should be doing it.

Recycle whenever possible.

Educate yourself about programs and groups that are helping the planet.

I believe we will be okay but it might take another generation before it completely shows. The generation now is aware and awareness is always the beginning of positive results.

This is an excellent question and I am terribly embarrassed by the previous stupid responses. I am trying to do my part by providing contributions to the following outstanding not-for-profit organizations that are on the front lines working to preserve the world's most threatened habitats and species: The Nature Conservancy ; World Wild Life Fund ; Wild Aid. You are to be congratulated for wanting to make a difference.

Instead of babbling pop science tripe we need to spend the time and effort to really understand what is going on. Stop listening to political groups with their agendas and stop listening to panic mongers. Act responsibly and get real scientists to work on understanding the real issues instead of running around like a bunch of chickens without heads.

You people out there who are constantly falling for one routine after the other are not part of the solution, you are a major part of the problem. You let others lead you into one fallacious crusade after another, all of which have no basis in fact and almost all of which harm the environment.

Actually the planet will more than likely be around long after humanity has become extinct. It is a scientific (as well as biblical for those Christians out there) that humanity is not a permanent fixture on this planet.

Things we do certainly do affect our environment but the reality is that there is a timeframe for all things.

The earth and its wealth has been here for many to enjoy for centuries.
Know of noone knowing the specific time that the earth IS to exist.
All in the hands of One much higher than mankind!

stop being a complete jackass.the world changes with or without human intervention,it always has and always will ,science has proved this over and over.there is nothing we can do or have done for that matter that will make a difference. the the power of the universe far exceeds what humans will ever have the abilty to change.

I'm not worried either. Once more people become aware of our problem (when they don't have fossil fuels to heat their houses with) they'll switch to wind or solar powered heating. Once there's a garabage dump every 5 miles, people are going to get sick of the smell and recycle. Until these people realize the problem though, nothing can really be done.

switch to energy efficient light bulbs, get a hybrid, turn off electric when not using it, keep your heat at a low temp and airconditioning at a high temp, make your house energy efficient. Recycle. use alt. energy sources. Write your congress for more stringent energy bills. Carpool and encourage others to do so. and the list goes on
