It's not that they work better, they just work more. I could put in 90 hours a week too if I didn't keep up my house and had 15 other adults living in my house to help watch my kids for free while I work. Companies use this as an excuse to hire them but the truth is, they don't care about benefits or better wages because where their money goes (right back to Mexico), the dollar to peso rate is about 10% so actually they are making quite well considering the small amount they keep to get by on. A $5 bag of beans and a few bags of tortillas and $600 a month rent cut 15 ways is not a lot of money. This is why the companies want them-cheap labor,not better.

According to the Mexicans in Mexico they think the Guatemalans or illegals in their country are much better workers and they work for less money. They think the Mexicans that are coming here are lazy and good for nothing. Go figure. Seen that on the news.

My guess is that you too lost your job to a Latino.....you may not like it but in 30 years they will be a majority in this country and they will dominate corporate America and the world! So, if I were you instead of discriminating your fellow humans you should get busy learning new skills, getting ready to work harder (more than 40 hours per week like they do instead of going to your home to do the grass) and by the way learn Spanish and Chinese. My friend it is too late this will happen.... but you can move to Alaska.

illegals are actually pretty lazy....go to one of their provinces in Mexico and you'll see how filthy and dirty it is. Their "work" ethic is all about money. To us $6-8/hour doesnt seem like much but to them it would be like us going from a $17/hour job to one making $150/hour. You'd work like a SOB too, lol. I noticed this at Wal MART DC in Alabama. I kept asking my fellow codriver why the Americans run into work every day like school just let out....well I come to find out that if they make prodution then they get a $5/hour bonus. $21/hour doesnt sound too bad all of a sudden, lol. Took the job that Americans didnt want and made it solid gold.

You seem to have answered your own question. I mostly see the Latinos as rather laid back, whereas the Chinese are brought up to be respectful. You have to give respect to get respect.

They do work a lot and I know that for sure.. they do work more hours than what is normal... If they say that they work a lot is to make you all know that they are here to work and that is all.. I never heard a Latino say that Americans are lazy... I only heard that fast food makes people be overweight and that is a true everyone knows that.. and that they are willing to do any job that a lot of people will never do..

May be because we don't want to work at the farm or the tomatoes, broccoli, etc picking. We always want a good pay with out dirt our hands. Next time you eat your veggies the most probably they were picked by Latinos. Would you perform a 16-18 hours job for the paying of may be $6.00 per hour?

Why do you listen to and worry about criminals?
Nothing that is done, while doing it illegally, matters. ZERO!
Kick them ALL out!
American law applies to Americans and people legally in this country!
American Law does not apply to peoples of other countries, neither do criminals, illegally entering into America have any protection under American Law. Foreign criminals deserve only JAIL, or if we chose to be sweet and kind and nice, a quick boot in the butt back over the boarder!

a Latino is an American living in the united states of Latin American descent.
an illegal is someone who comes to America to work, live, or visit without the proper legal documents.
Latinos have to remind our white friend folk that they work hard because many of you don't see it or believe it.... hint hint, wink wink....
Latinos and illegal immigrants work very hard in America to provide a better life for themselves and their families..... the reason they work so hard is because they usually work in the lower end, labor intensive, no-skilled jobs that require little or no education. slowly but surely the Latino population in America is becoming better educated than their immigrant parents before them to provide better job opportunities so that we can have jobs in all segments in society..... not just the jobs that white America refuses to do!!!!!!!
