a father as done abuse to a child and now a psychiatrist as come into the picture well when i took my child to the session for this lady to evaluate the two together she let the father bring my child a toy at first do you think that she should have done that, because i dont, there should have been no toys brought in by the father who as done abuse on the child, that just made it worse, the child was of course happy to see the father because he had brought a toy, and i just want to know do you think it was right for this psychiatrist to have allowed for the father to have brought a toy into the evaluation of the two together.

If this psychiatrist is as well trained as she should be, it would be all right for the father to bring a toy. She is doing an evaluation of their interactions together, and she will be looking at a lot of things besides whether the child appeared happy to see the father with a toy.
You say this is an evaluation, not a therapy session. If you do not agree with the report when it is done, you can look for another psychiatrist.

Yes because the child is innocent in this. The child was happy to see the father because he's the father. Sounds like there is a lot of pain here. Keep your heart on what is best for the child, good luck to you and hang in there.

I think she probably can't guess what he would bring, but I promise the fact that he did she took into consideration that he felt the need. It says something in itself.
