Babies are born as blank slate Atheists. It is the parents who stuff their heads with religious garbage and ruin them for life.

There's an interesting story in the Christmas Day edition of the Milwaukee Journal (I believe it can be accessed on line). It's about a two year old who wandered outside in subzero weather and was found the next day frozen stiff. They took the child to the hospital, and to make a long and remarkable story short, they were able to revive the child and he is now a healthy normal 8 year old. The family was not a religious family, but one of the recollections of the parents in a conversation with the child about a year after his resuscitation, was when he was talking about his experience one of his memories was while he was clinically dead he met and had a talk with God.

I like angle's answer. I believe that everyone is born with the knowledge that there is a superior being. Of course, being babies, they don't understand this concept and lose memory of the knowledge by the time they grow. That is why they must be raised in the Lord to know and understand these things.
Have a nice day :-)

The bible says that even the rocks cry out and prise Him. Because of verses like this, I believe we all are born with an inherent belief in God. That is why people search for people, places and things to praise. Sometimes it is a job, other people etc... but there is only one God and His son, Jesus.

Everybody is born an Atheist (lack of any belief) It takes a deliberate effort by a parent or other outside source to instill such a belief.

I have 3 grown daughters. When they were babies I used to watch them lying in their cribs, just looking around as though they were being entertained by something. I used to think that maybe they saw their guardian Angels or something that I was not capable of seeing.

I have not had a young'un stand up and preach in all the years that I have been around them. It is quite possible to teach them to do so by doing what the FATHER intended us to do. Have a great week.
