You have chosen your religion based upon what was passed onto you from what you learned while growing up. Not one religious person can tell me that THEIR God said directly to them "I AM THE GOD OF GODS, obey or burn or whatever (you have chosen to do)! You made a conscience choice to follow an order and generally with influences from somebody that pushed you into this structure. Well I have one question for you-How can you despies or convert or try to otherwise demean someone of another belief when they were of the same inspiration as you? They chose based on their mentors as well. They believe in God-So whose to say hat they will go to hell? I do not believe in YOUR God or Theirs because I want us all to make this world a happy better place to live sharing the ideas that promote intellectual opportunity and motivation-rather than find a way to say "I AM BETTER THAN YOU BECAUSE....." because you believe in God? Because you accepted something YOU CAN NOT PROVE? All men are equal

There can only be one truth. Everyone who believes in false God(s) are wrong whether they belive they are right or not.

If there is only one way to heaven, don't you want to make sure that the ones you love know about it? Or will you allow your fear of offending them keep you from telling them the truth?

Sorry, but your comments are somewhat wrong.

I did not choose to be connected to a religious order based on guilt. I do not feel that others are wrong for their beliefs (with qualification). I do not believe that anyone who doesn't follow my way is wrong.

I grew up Christian, but rejected that when I saw that it was fear based. I'm now a Pagan. I have had personal interaction with deity, though it was not a "turn or burn" sort of experience. Rather, it was a "You're on the right path now" experience.

My own faith NEVER responds with an "I'm better than you" attitude. But here comes the qualification I mentioned: I do not uphold the belief that ANY religion is better than another. I completely reject the concept of any religion having exclusive access to deity or truth, including my own. This is where I will draw the line on confrontation. If someone claims exclusivity, I'll challenge that. There is NO religion on this planet that can prove without doubt that they have anything resembling scientific proof of God, of infallible scripture or unerring truth. Likewise, there is no absolute proof that there is no ultimate higher power.

We're all working on some level of faith, and as such, ought to be able to respect each other's positions.

I went to drug rehab and made a concious choice to accept God's love and understanding and His will so that I might escape the hell I had created. Your theory is flawed. Oh well no one is perfect or all knowing. Perhaps if you do not believe in spiritual things and have not sought out God's fruit of love and tolerance for all, then you should stop talking about it. Perhaps you or no one you know has had God intervene in their lives and change the only thing about life which they can change which is themselves. I know that some who are judgemental and hypocritical have jaded your vision because I can assure you I have seen first hand what God can do. Life has purpose and joy for me now and He offers this freely to all that will accept it. Before we have a spiritual birth we are all selfish and self-serving and I can only assume that you are as well as I can see by the hostility and distain you conveyed in your posting that the posting was for your benefit alone. Does it bring joy to you to try and strip people of their beliefs? Are you so different from the inquisitors of the dark ages in Spain or the Religious people you condemn for their hypocracy and judgemental diatribes? People have a God given right to believe or disbelieve anything they choose. It is wrong of you to attack other's beliefs. You are acting like what you say you hate about religious people. Think about that. Will you? Seriously, if you stop worrying about and hating what other people think or believe you might have more time to make a difference by looking at your own faults and changing the only person you have a right to change and become a better person. And if you can't you can always ask God to do it for you. No job like that is too big or too small for Him.
Have a nice day.

If God just came down here and said "Believe and Obey Me", then we would really have a choice. There would be no faith into it. It just goes against the purpose of believing. Many people believe in the evolution theory, but there is no way to prove that either. Fossils do you no good because it has been found that you can fossilize things in as little as 40 years(as far as I know. It might be shorter). Haha, they even found a fossilized hat somewhere.

Have a nice day :-)

There are 3 'signs and indicators' of the covenant between God and the Israelites (the Jewish human beings). a million. circumcision 2. the Sabbath and 3. the putting of phylacteries (bins containing scriptures) on the arm and head whilst praying All 3 serve a similar purpose, this is to concentration guy's interest on the non secular above the actual. The binding of the phylacteries demonstrates that one is a servant of God. on the Sabbath, all ingenious artwork is prevented, for that reason one is desperate by God for each thing on the Sabbath. And the circumcision, which some say dulls the male sexual reaction, is an act which demonstrates one's administration over one's animal lusts. it somewhat is noteworthy that the three signs and indicators are basically incumbent on men. women human beings have basically a million...the Sabbath. this is by technique of the fact women human beings are patently on an stronger non secular point than men and don't desire the different consistent reminders.

I'm a former Catholic (the faith of my youth), and am now a reformed Christian. Thank you for your presumption...you refute yourself nicely.

It sounds like you don't talk to many Christians, or perhaps you've managed to bully those Christians that you do know into not telling you that they are Christians, as you are very adversarial...

I'll simply pray for you, and ask God himself to confront you in His gentle, loving way...God Bless!!!

I choose my religion based on study, and the persuit of knowledge, something which has always passionatly driven me. :)

My god and goddess have personally said to me: We are here, we are known by many names, many people kill for us, many people die for us, many people renounce us, and then worship us under different names... but we love them all.

I don't despise any religion at all. We all believe we are right, and that's ok. :) Why be part of a religion you believe is wrong?

Here's my question to you: Do you believe in your god? Do you believe in any god? And if you don't, do you believe in yourself?

We make and shape our own gods... our gods act according to how we want them to act. We are the mothers and fathers of our gods, and they are our parents in turn.
