He is always upset because he still can't get a girlfriend because he is obese. He is sweet, smart, educated, and he loves women! He always asks me for advice, but I don't know what to tell him because to be honest with you, I wouldn't date him either, I just have a personal preference for guys like me: who are somewhat in shape. Any tips for him??

he needs to hang out with obese people who are determined to lose weight. Set a goal at the http://www.biggestloserclub.com
and hook up with friends there.
Obese people are generally obese because they don't set personal goals to maintain and lower their weight. I should know. I lost 40lbs and dating was amazing.
Obese people need to hang out with like minded people who understand their struggles.

Just tell him to be himself. If he has a BO issue let him know in a gentle way. A few obese people have a hygiene issue once that is taken care of there are plenty of females who would want to be around him also he needs to dress neatly. There are lots of magazine for BHMs Big Handsome Men. He doesn't have to break the bank but just stay neat, clean and smell nice. I forgot, there are also a lot a females who like BHM. Even in the teen communities. Just need to find the right one like anyone else.

I think you're a really great friend and it's a good thing he has someone like you to lean on. I think he has two options he can stay the way he is and hopes that someone will like him for who he is and not for what he looks like or he can try to get into better shape and maybe this will make him more confident in himself and that'll attract girls...that way he can reject all the girls who wouldn't have given him a second look the first time around. :)
I think you could possibly help him if he decides that he wants to lose a few. You can be a great support system for him and maybe you can encourage him to do so, if he decides this is what he wants.

Not really unless you know a girl that has the same problem, maybe not weight but maybe not popular and being asked out. If he's sweet and nice you shpould come up with a nice girl that they could do things together. He needs to try harder to find someone not like you....he probably likes you. So, try to work on that and see what happens. Good luck. Ther is someone that needs a friend just like him, you just have to find her.

Let him know that there is someone for everyone and his time will come. He shouldn't try to lose weight for anyone but himself. If that is what he wants, then encourage him to do so. If u can, help him to socialize as much as possible, to widen his group of friends. This will of course increase his chances of meeting someone who will appreciate him the way he is. Advice him to stay away as much as poss from a "poor me" attitude n try to stay positive. That should help positive things to come his way. I recall in my high school days, one of the nicest, sweetest n very popular girl's boyfriend was an obese guy. She was petite to boot!

Yeah, tell him he needs to lose some weight and get in shape if he wants to play that game. There may be some girls who like obese guys, but I'm inclined to believe that they are a very small minority.

Lose the weight for his health, he's not going to be around long enough to even have a relationship if he is obese. That should be his first priority. Good luck , there's lot's of support out there.

do you have any friends that are Little larger? or a friend that don't mind as some woman like big guys, small guys,in shape guys and mainly their personality. has he tried the dating services? there is somebody for everybody. is he somewhat cute? i have some friends but who knows where you live? thanks

look for someone can see inside him and not just the body ..
there are a lot of women who love bigger guys... because most big guys have big hearts and really know how to love a lady
