I have a question for all of the railfans out there. I have recently really started to think about how to sell some of the picutres I have taken of trains. I have some good pictures within the last year (most of them of steam trains) that I would like to sell.

Is there anyone that has sold some of their photographs? If so, how? Right now the majority of mine are on print film (saving the money for a digital).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

E-bay has a category titled "Railroadania" which sells all types of railroad artifacts, photos, etc. If not sold there, you can visit and get a feel for what these things are selling for to help you determine fair market value.

Try going to "Train-Sim.com" or "UK Train Sim", Chances are slim that someone might be interested in paying for pictures. Personnally I have downloaded hundreds of train and locomotive photos off the internet for free. Railroad enthusiasts in the UK are the most helpfull in providing free photos, even photos of North American RRs. Try the Forum on UK Train Sim, they are very helpfull.

After you have some of them mounted, you could display and sell on ebay. You also could set up a web site and sell from it also and even use in conjunction with ebay.
