I am 20. I have had Kyphosis and Scoliosis since I was 11. I was wondering if I really need to have the surgery? My back hurts at times and I do have a severe case, but no breathing or any other kind of problems. I had heard that once you get to an age where you no longer grow the Kyphosis and Scoliosis doesnt get any worse after that. Anyone ever heard of that?

this is a tricky question bc we don't know how bad or where the kyphosis is. but my suggestion is to go ahead and get the surgery because as you get old it will only get worse. if you get the surgery now you would have a better change of recovery. as for if the kyphosis will get worse or not after you stop growing, i believe it will as you get older your intercalated discs can get worn down and cause major health problems. however, this is a personal choice and you can go either way. i wish you the best.

It may not get worse, but it sure isn't going to get any better, and chronic back pain isn't easy to live with. I'd see a couple of surgeons that specialize in back surgery and get their opinion as to what you ought to do. The longer you wait, the more difficult the surgery would be. The final decision would be up to you, but at least get some valid diagnoses from competent medical specialists. Good luck.

i've got in no way met a Muslim in the army. i've got met 2 Hindus nonetheless. you have got a tricky time in the protection rigidity as a non secular Muslim. you spot, you don't get a decision in nutrition. they provide you nutrition, you consume it or you pass hungry. So, if beef is on the menu for the day you consume it or you pass hungry. you won't be able to locate the money for to pass hungry in BUD/S the place they have a ninety% Drop fee. The do have Muslim places to pass nonetheless. they could no longer be completely dedicated to the Muslim faith, yet they do grant any faith a place to pass. In AIT we even had a team of Wiccans that have been given permission from the Chaplain Commander of the post to worship in the woods or some extraordinary **** like that. lol the two the Hindus I met in the army have been in elementary. One does no longer have been able to proceed to exist if he did no longer pass against his faith and consume eggs. the different did no longer final very long. the factor approximately LASIKs after 21 is unfaithful. i'm 23 and that i'm questioning approximately getting it as quickly as I come back from Iraq. i be attentive to 2 human beings over 21 who've have already got it. so some distance as a disqualifier for BUD/S, i don't be attentive to, I doubt it nonetheless. you will ought to get a waiver. The scoliosis, no count how minor, in all opportunities are high a disqualifier from any elite forces even nonetheless. i do no longer think of minor could disqualify you from customary service nonetheless.

Have you considered medical treatment and surgical help for this in India? My cousin got her surgery from a company called Forerunners Healthcare in India.
She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as all types of medical treatment and surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings.
