Why would a dog want to crap in it's own yard. Here's what you do. Go out there and put a big lump of peanut butter on top of it. Dog comes back over. Mmmm Peanut butter. Cleans up its own mess.

The owner has trained it NOT to crap in their yard. Yes, I'd hate for you to pick it up at all. But for the sake of making a point, throw it back in their yard. Better yet throw it in the driveway. Or... not that you have the time to monitor your yard all day, but start looking outside every time you pass a window to see if you can catch 'em out there doing it. Just run outside and start screeming at the thing like crazy. If you catch 'em a few times it'll probably be so traumitized by the ordeal that it'll stop coming over there.

Try this: A. get lion poop and spread at the borders. The lion's poop is stronger than the dog's scent. B. Start throwing left over food out the back after you have scooped up his poop and placed it where you think he should have his bathroom. We just moved his scent and replaced it with edibles. He didn't want to poop on the vittles. ha.
The problem is determining where to place his poop in his yard. A. in an inconvient spot where the master suddenly knows his dog poops like anyone elses and he will step in it or b. So as he, the master doesn't notice for awhile. ha. Let it build up.

Once an animal "goes" somewhere, they will continue to go back to the same area because their scent is there. They "mark " their territory. I would ask(tell) the neighbor to come and clean it and to kindly keep the dog in their own yard by putting up a fence or chaining it so it can't get to your yard to crap. If they refuse, throw it at them. (I would be nasty enough to smear it on their house and car too if they are total jerks about it) Buy a HORSE and let it in their yard to crap>

I scoop my neighbors dog's crap up and put it on their front porch. I keep thinking they will get the message one day. That is a rude thing to let ones dog use another yard to do it's business.

I understand where you are coming from. My friends/neighbors do the same thing. She is really bad with her dogs! She brings her dogs into our yard, and has let her dogs on numerous occasions, let them pee on my grandsons toys. Which makes me SO damn mad I could scream. But I have been the bigger person I guess, and blew it off. But I know one of these days I will explode. I think it is just that they don't have any consideration for others. They will let them pee on the car & truck after my husband has just detailed the vehicle. He gets highly upset. I don't know what else it could be, besides no consideration. If you figure it out, let me know too! Good luck.

If you live next door to the dog's home...perhaps the dog is excited to get out of the house and needs to go immediately or is marking territory or thinks its his private poo area.
Ask your neighbors to come and pick up the poo and remind them when they walk their dog that they should carry a trash bag just for that clean up!
ps: to Petasuc...that's how my dad used to send earthworms to the surface for fish bait. hehe

First try talking to your neighbors. If that does not work, call animal control or the police and file a complaint.
