in my previous question i stated how murdering the murderer will not bring the victim back. it does state in the old testament that the punishment of sin is death. okay 1) GOD is the only one that can give us our punishment of death. 2) the punishment of sin is death only when we continue in our sin until we die without repentence.

the text in the old testament 'those who live by the sword, shall die by the sword.' means that GOD will punish you! that does not give us the right to do GOD's job.

It's very true; unfortunately, some people have a hard time trying to understand it which is typical of human nature.

Sorry, but even repentant Christians die you know.
God established the death penalty, and we KNOW that it won't bring the victim back. But that isn't the purpose of the death penalty. It's purpose is to punish the murderer, and remove evil from society.

Deu 17:7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

"in my previous question i stated how murdering the murderer will not bring the victim back"

---which is why the death penalty is simply a pitiful act of legal revenge.

"it does state in the old testament that the punishment of sin is death."

---What, the same one that says God created the Earth in six days? *scoff*

"is the only one that can give us our punishment of death."

---Really? I thought car crashes, disease, animal attacks, freak accidents, etc gave you death, not God.

" the punishment of sin is death only when we continue in our sin until we die without repentence."

---If this refers to heaven and hell, I'd rather burn in hell than be welcomed into a royal snob club where only the near-perfect people who kiss Jesus's holy *** live.

Plus if we cut their life off early we may cause them to die before accepting God's love and then we would be ultimately responsible for their lives ending without the Lord.

What they don't understand is that it is the righteousness of God we recieve from Christ that makes us worthy to go to heaven. It is a gift to us from a loving God making a provision for us because we had no way to provide one for ourselves. We must accept Christ to get this provision provided by God. That is why you must be born again. It is the only way to get the provision. If you don't obtain the gift of God you can't go to heaven. It is impossible. Although all things are possible to God this one thing He requires us to do to be saved. God doesn't lie. He always tells the truth because He is truth. You might want to take more earnest heed to what He says.

You are right. I am pro-life. I am against abortion and the death penalty. People seem to enjoy playing God, but I don't. No one should want to have that ultimate power over another human.

God Bless you and have a safe and Happy New Year.

Because "god" is doing a ******* terrible job of deciding who lives and who dies.i.e Good people die while serial murderers and child abusers live.If you were god would you let these assholes live and let good people die before there time? What kind of God would do that? This is certain proof that god does not exist or that if there is one it's Evil.

We will all die one day. I personally do not want serial killers and child molesters on the street. I would rather not kill them but I really don't feel bad when I hear one dies.
Furthermore, my father was an awsome person, did not lie, cheat, steal but he was an athiest...if he can't get into heaven, God is a jerk if he let a murderer in just by saying he accepts Jesus on his death bed but not my father.

"For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it (government) is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil" (Romans 13:3,4)

Just as the commandments were made for boundries of our behavior so was law. The bible clearly states to follow the law of the land and obey the leaders.
