The Final Call has gone out. At the appointed place and the appointed hour They come. One 1 side, the forces of Evil gather
into an army of Darkness the likes of which the world has never seen. On the other side, the Army of Light. The 2 sides face off to decide the fate of the world and the souls of all Mankind. This is the Final Battle. The question: Would YOU be there? Or would you stand on the sidelines, watching on CNN to see who wins?
Do you hold your beliefs dear enough to stand up when it counts?

(bear in mind that, although couched in religious terms, this question is more of a philosophical one.)

“If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?”

I did watch this, but it was a movie. I read the book too. I will always follow the side that is for equality, human decency and respect for all life. Of course, that group will probably pack up and move to the other side of the world.

I suppose, given the mental battleground described, and my current situation, I would be torn...

My heart, and my religion, would want me to be in the center, telling both parties that there is no point in fighting, as there will always be both... to sustain balance...

But, in turn, I would also be tempted to watch from the sidelines, holding my children close, explaining to them that no matter what the outcome, life would continue on, in one form or another, and that we are eternal and everlasting...

Would I stand up and fight? No. My religion says that it's unnecessary... Would I watch? Probably. Learning is always a pleasure, and imagine what knowledge one could glean from the circumstances!

Great question, btw!

Rev 19:11

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Born again christians will be there with JESUS..

Yes I do, but one of my core beliefs is that there is no such thing as absolute good or absolute evil...so I would probably watch this fight on CNN.

I would most definitely not be there. I'd be of no help to anyone and it's not worth trying.
