I didn't take her right away because like i said she was perfectly fine. She was at mcdonalds with my boyfriend getting something to eat before we went to the movies. I posted this while in the taxi to meet up with them. That was at 6 and we were at the hospital by 6:45. Everything checked out normal but my mom insisted she stay in over night so she did and NOTHING happened!!

Think about how old is your daughter and has this ever happened before. But what I really want to say is that is your baby and no one should be able to tell you about your child it is a mother's instinct about her child fainting is something very serious. There could be blood clots formed somewhere in her body or not getting enough oxygen or could be dehydrated or could be a absent seizure so I advise you to take your baby to the hospital like yesterday and don't be blind by a man see about your child first.

It is better to be safe than sorry, off hand I would say make sure she has had liquids and maybe a candy bar just in case her blood sugars are low. She should still be checked though for possible problems. I wouldn't say an emergency room is needed unless she said she feels that something is wrong (depending on her age of course, you'll have to judge by your standards). I would still take her to your doctor for a check up and possibly do some blood work just in case (for diabetes, etc).

you didnt say when this happened. how is she doing now? there could be many reasons for her to faint and the only way to really know if it is serious is to take her to the doctor. tests can be done to find out why it happened. if she seems ok now just make an appt with your doctor tomorrow or the next day. no need to rush to the emergency room unless she is getting worse.

Well you can't be that concerned if you waited this long for yahoo answers. I have fainted before and I thought I was dying..I just-so happened to be going to the doctors at that same time. I explained my situation to them and they said I was fine... and I was. But if you have your motherly instinct to take her...do it go with your gut. Even if it ends up to be nothing, at least you will no and it is better to be safe than sorry.

Fainting is not normal in any age group, particularly in young people. Get off of the computer and take her to the emergency room immediately!

Its best to bring her to the hospital because its just out of safety for your daughter's health. There needs to be some explanation on why she fainted.

Definitely take her to the hospital. It's always better to be safe than sorry! If you think something is wrong, get her checked out. I hope she is okay. Good luck! Now get to the hospital!

It depends. Did she eat today? That is normally the culprit. If something happened, like a fall or blow to the head - then yes, take her to the ER. Or if she has a medical condition like epilepsy, asthma or diabetes.
