I also have an outie belly button, which I think is cute, but most people hate outies.

You would probably look too skinny, and should probably be somewhere around 100 pounds.

#1 DO NOT listen to anyone who told you to go eat lots and lots of cheeseburgers and fries. This would still be very unhealthy for you because with a diet like that you would be eating far more salt, cholesterol and oils/fats than is healthy.

72 pounds is most likely underweight for you at 5'3" and you would probably look more attractive and healthy if you weighed about 100 pounds. It's important to keep your body fuelled regularly with enough nutrients, vitamins, minerals, calories. It's important not just because it's "proper", or just for looks, but because it will keep you strong and healthy(and looking strong and healthy) for many years to come.

You should not try to gain weight extremely rapidly(again, eating loads of burgers+fries is NOT good for you). If you are gaining 10 pounds per month that is way too fast and you are being hard on your body.

To gain weight all you need to do is increase the amount of calories you intake(calories, not fat, calories come in many forms). To do this in a healthy way, you should add more carbohydrates and protein to your diet to help you gain weight, NOT sugars and fats. So, increase the amount of bread(don't go for processed white bread, it's junk), rice, pasta, beans, fish, milk, cottage cheese, eggs, meat (skinless chicken thighs or breasts!) you are eating. Don't forget a nice mixture of different fruits&vegetables as well, you may not notice but it really will keep you looking and feeling stronger, better and healthier. Being skinnier doesn't make you hotter, being healthy and strong makes you glow with attractiveness and people will notice it.

If you plan on gaining weight, don't do what some of the people said, by eating cheeseburgers and fries... eat healthy foods or you'll end up obese like most of america already is. Anyways, if you don't have an eating disorder then there's nothing wrong with only weighing that much, especially since you are still young. If you do have an eating disorder though, you may want to get help for it, because it's hard to recover alone. Good luck!

What matters is how you feel in one. 72 pounds is kind of on the thin side. Summer is a few months off, so maybe you'll gain about 10-15 pounds and will feel more comfortable in the bikini.

I think "Dnarose's" answer was EXCELLENT - "What matters is how you feel in one".
Gaining some weight might be a good idea, but if it all goes to your belly you'll just look fat. At 14, thin is better than fat. It's easier to put it on than take it off.

you would look like Nicole Richie (not a hot body). I think you should gain some weight... maybe 30 pounds.. My girlfriend is 5"3 and she weights 115, her body is hot.... The best way to gain weight is to drink insure with every meal, and work out... i'm not trying to sound mean, but you would not feel confrontable on a beach around 100's of people..But, like they always say! confidance is the key. If you want to weight 72 pounds.. keep your head up!!!

You would look too skinny. I would eat more protien and excercise, small amout of reps heavier wieght, that way builds mucles. The atkins diet is a great diet to gain muscel, and dont be affraid of some fat, ham, and candys. 72 pounds isnt healthy at any height, I would see a doctor about puuting on weght not enough to make you fat but get up to like 90-100 pounds at least.

Yeah, I agree with the rest, try to gain some weight. But it's all about proportion, if you look slender in proportion to your height rather than just thin then I wouldn't worry about it.

Of course that's too skinny. Instead of buying a bikini go buy 3,000tbs of butter and hopefully you'll gain weight.

72 pounds? Instead of a swimsuit you need to go buy a cheeseburger and fries. Repeat that everyday until you weigh 100 pounds.
