Military Service members serving in theater do have access to the internet however their access is limited. They can not use, while on the govenrment network or computers, email servers such as Yahoo, use Yahoo mesenger or access Yaoo Answers. This is one of the freedoms we give up to serve our country. Some service members are also denied access to internet as their jobs require a degree of seperaton for securiy reasons. You will also find that MOST of the Active Duty component in Iraq are in support of the war and finnishing what we have started. While they may not agree with exactl how things have been done to this point, they are there to get the job done and don't want to pull out until they do. Many of the complaints from service members you will find come from the reservist and those of the national guard who have been called, many times kicking and screaming, to active duty. More often these compaints are from their wives who did not seem to understand that check they got each month from Unlce Sam, the VA loans they used to get that nice comfy house, and the Montgomry GI bill they used to pay for hubby's college came with a price if and when our government needed them.
So to answer your question, yes, for the most part they have internet access bu no, if they are on the government server/computer they do not have yahoo answers.

yes we have internet capabilities. im currently in iraq at this time. im a little over my half way mark. anyhow when a base is first set up there is nothing, but for instance where im at. this base has been here a couple of years now so internet is a need and is pretty much all over the base. let's say we start a war in north korea. we wouldnt have the cadillac, or the nice trailors, or internet connection. it would be tents, portys, and a bunch of guys that r really bored. not to say we dont get bored here. now about the anit bush and anti war crap. thats messed up. the majority of people in the military are for president/war. i had the choice to come in and i decided to go with it. i wasnt forced. anyhow i do wish the draft would come back so that way panzy's back at home would get first look. your lucky president bush is the president. if i was i would try to make a law that states after graduating high school, male and female would have to serve 2 or 3 years. haha

Most of the soldiers have access. My son is there and he is the one who told me about answers. He is encouraged that the majority of answers are in support of the military even if someone does not support the actual war. His comment about the bashing is that is you really take a tally the bashers are in the minority and generally come off sounding like the idiots they are. A lot of soldier also have MySpace pages and there is currently a petition going around to get a site off MySpace called "F*** Our Troops". In the first 24 hours the copy my son sent me had 672 names, and the site had already been removed. There is also a site that lets the soldiers put up blogs and has links to Soldiers Angels a group that has numerous was to support the troops. It is

Why do some people want to twist the facts? Why do some people want to say that if you are anti-Bush you also are anti-military and hate America and our soldiers? Last time i checked Bush was not a soldier. Hes just some guy playing cowboy.

yes, some soldiers have internet access in Iraq. Some are bemused by anti-war rants, some are angry, some think that CNN should do a news story about how they build schools and roads and hospitals. It really depends on the person.

Well, a few nights ago they finally had interviews with the soldiers on the ground and they were not very happy about the way the war has been portrayed.
Several said that it was not a civil war, and that it was groups of 3-5 people who were randomly killing people.

Several soldiers are there for several reasons. None all have the same mindset; some agree and support Bush, some don't. Some agree with the war, others see it as a job and have decided to continue nevertheless. So if you were looking for any of that bi-partisan crap, doesn't exist.

A lot of the soldiers do have internet and e-mail.
However, since most of them volunteer to serve and have seen the improvements in quality of life for the Iraqi people, most probably do not have anything bad to say about the President.
Some probably even take it personnal against them when they read the hateful things.
