My brother and I raise bison and have tossed over the idea of making a dog food product out of bison meat. We have a fairly good market for human consumption and are now looking at the pet food business. All our animals are naturally raised and do not recieve any antibiotics, hormones or other drugs. This will ensure that your dog or cat will get a pure meat food source without the extras that come with beef, chicken, pork etc.(those industries pump a lot of drugs into their animals but they don't want you to know that) Anyway I'm trying to feel out the market and see if it would go over or not. Would you buy something like this?

There is a food made from Bison, don't recall the name though.

Sounds like a good idea though! You will have to do much studying to make it a well balanced diet.

Personally I would not because it is going to be expensive. If you put it in a fancy bag and go personally talk to some high end pet stores I bet that it would do very well. You will have to put it in the right market. It will not do good in some inner city, but I think it would in expensive suburban neighorhoods. Anywhere near a pet spa would be a good bet.
