They pretty much just show authority. Not good for anything, really. It'd be nice if you could redeem them for services or get discounts on Yahoo! Music or something, but that would induce spammers and reduce questions asked. Pretty much, ya got points, and you can spend all those points by asking questions that take 5 points each. Nope, you can only use them to have virtual money you use to pay to ask questions, pretty much.

Maybe we can trade I have 801. Maybe we can say to each other I have 801 points how many points do you have. Maybe we can judge each other on how small our lives are by the amount of points we have and long we have been members. Like if I have been a member 3 months and I have 2000 points, it's time to find something else to do in life.
