You just sort of explained it...

Keep trying to get help. When confronting your parents, just tell them to stop denying things and pay attention to the truth. Try telling them that this could lead to something serious, like suicide, later on and that they should take this seriously.

Sounds like it could be anxiety attacks. They can cause severe stomach pain, loss of appetite, and not being able to sleep. Depression usually plays a big part in this too. I don't have a degree or anything but I was well into adulthood before I even realized that not everyone felt the same as I did. I thought it was normal and that it just wasn't talked about. The fact that you and your friends know something isn't right is your answer. It's not! It is not your fault and it is not going to go away on it's own. You need to find help, someone that is qualified and that you feel comfortable with. Even if it takes 10 different doctors. You also have to find a way to explain what is going on to your parents. Maybe a close relative like an older sister or an Aunt. Try a teacher or counselor at school. Maybe try to talk to someone at your local crisis center. Hopefully someone can get through to your parents. Take it from someone who knows, you may be able to hide this for a long time, I did, but when it finally catches up with you it will be 10 times worse. Trust me, you are not alone and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Two of the most wonderful people in the world suffer from the same thing I do, it just took us awhile to admit it to each other. Now we are closer than ever because we understand each other in a way that no one else can. Good Luck to you, there are better days ahead...even if that's hard to believe right now.

Sounds like depression. There are tests on the Internet that will give a good idea if that's the case. If it is, it's a chemical imbalance that you can't just wish away. Fortunately it's usually easily treated; but can get a lot worse if not taken care of. Everyone has mood swings, but when you can't sleep at night; and /or can't stay awake when you have to, eating all the time or you can't eat for days. And the obsessive compulsive thing drives you up a wall. Take the test or talk to someone about it. If it's nothing...well you'll feel better and won't worry so much.

YOU CAN GET HELP without your parents' consent.
It does sound more like depression/anxiety than OCD, or post-traumatic stress due to your "past". (? -- you didn't say what happened)

There should be a free clinic in your area --
1. Check the Phone book -- ours has a list of "commuinty resources" that has the numbers for everything from the food bank to first-aid hot-lines.
2. Your school/local library should have the number & address.
3. Call or go to the Emergency Room and ask for help -- tell them you need to talk to a counselor.
4. Call the National Suicide Hot Line. Even if you aren't thinking about killing yourself. They'll be able to give you some support & resources.
*** 1-800-784-2433 ***
PS: If you go to the Emergency Room and tell them you want to kill youself, in most states, they have to keep you "under observation" for anywhere from 12 to 72 hrs. No matter what your parents think.

What you are describing is not and OCD it is a panic disorder. I used to have them but they were situational. I had cancer back in the 80's and had panic attacks between the surgeries. I don't have them now except when I have to have surgery or am waiting for test results.

But I have a grown daughter who has had them for years. There is no particular reason she has them and they seem to be worse when she is pregnant. They will go away for a while and then they come back again. You need to talk to your doctor and he or she should refer you to someone who can help you. There are medications out there that can make you fully functional without all this stuff you are going through. you need to get help right away dear. Good Luck.

i think the world is too stressful and it's turning everyone into emotional wrecks.
I don't know anyone who's mentally healthy. We may live to be 100, but those 100 years will be marked by red splotches and obsessing and compulsing.
It might have to do with all of the chemicals in our food and in the air building up in our brains.

Sounds like you may have severe anxiety and/or depression. There is help available for you. There are so many people that struggle with anxiety disorders. You should consider going to a doctor. If you go to a doctor and are not satisfied with what you are told, then go to a different doctor until you find the help you need. There are also a lot of self-help resources out there. Please don't give up and please know that it is not hopeless - there are so many resources out there, and you are not alone.

Have you tried praying about your problem. It seems to me you are stressing about something that was tragic that happen to you in your past and the right one hasn't come along for you to reach out to so I suggest you pray for a peace of mind and read the bible and talk to a minister or someone you can trust because you have an issue that your parents are scared to deal with it or just don't know how to deal with what may have happened in the past.
