I have a 3 yr old yorkie and lately every time he eats he throws it all back up. I recently changed his food but i dont think thats the reason because i am adding a transition powder to the food (i was told it helps him adjust). I must also mention that i have a pool and even though i give him fresh water he insists on drinking the water in the pool. Can that be it? Please help me, what can i do?

When he vomits the food seems to be whole (in chunks) he has also been eating alot and very fast can this be a contributing factor?

it's is probably the pool water, that's really bad for his insides. keep him away from the pool for a while. I have a Yorkie to but i wouldn't rule out all options you best bet would be to give the vet a call and get a professionals advice cause it could be something worse.

Yorkies are the nicest dogs and they are so cute but they get themselves into trouble.

Like everyone else stated take your dog to the vet. No one can know for sure (we can all poke and guess @ what is it) what it is it could be a number of things (most likely the chlorine in the pool water is my guess), so you should take your dog to the vet. Be sure to call your vet first thing in the morning to alert what is going on with your Yorkie and see what they say, most likely they will tell you to bring your Yorkie in for an exam.

I know when I have a problem with my dog I call the vet, but I usually end up bringing her in anyways just to make sure.

Am not familiar with transition powder, maybe it's not working. Or could be something more serious, at least call your vet. And do whatever you need to do to keep him from drinking out of the pool, those chemicals can be very dangerous. If he is refusing to drink fresh water, maybe you need to wash his bowl, or try bottled water if your tap water is chlorinated.

Do you ever give him table food? I think drinking out of the pool is really bad! Have you tried taking him to a vet lately? If not then it might be a good idea to take him!

go to the vet! I have a yorkie but i didnt go to the vet instead i didnt want to spend any money because the person i bought it from said just to feed a little chicken. It was really complicated though.. So go to the vet which is really recommended.
My dog is now really healthy
GOOD LUCK

Don't even bother trying to guess, it could be anything. Take him to the vet first thing tomorrow morning. An inability to keep food down is very serious.
