I just buyed a Noma LED Flashlight and I have done some researching on it and it says its water resistant. So does it mean it is able to be submerged in to water for eg,. being under shallow water. Or is it just like splash proof??????

The difference is water proof means it is impervious to water and there is no way water will get through. Water resistant means that it is hard for water to get through, but if submerged long enough, the water will eventually seep through.

Water Resistant = Splash (Can be submerged, but dont press any buttons or submerge below 0.5 feet, or shake it vigorously under water)

Water Proof = Submerge.

I am very careful when i see those labels, especially when i'm shopping for rain or camping gear. Waterproof will completely keep water out. In fact, i'm pretty cautious of my water resistant items (even in light rain or sprinkles). Good luck.

Water Resistant just means if water gets on it. it wont bother it. If you just bought it i wouldn't try emerging it in water because if your wrong you spend money for no reason....good luck

That means water can't come in it.
