Sorry.. When do we ask ,how we were, when there was a question of faith?

the point is who are we tryin to impress when we know our faith. Its like Jesus asking us to trust in man knowledge instead of searching the scriptures daily to overflow with faith and belief for our Saviour.

People who do not have faith simply do not understand the power of God.
I know what you mean, when we read scriptures, the Holy Spirit helps us to have faith.
