They can but having Hepatitis C doesnt alway cause death. sometimes a person can live for 20 or 30 years without knowing they have it. usually people die from complications from their treatments or secondary effects of having the disease. the virus wears down the immune system making it harder to fight other illnesses or infections.

People with Hep. C basically live a normal life-span. He just needs to stay away from alcohol and other liver-damaging substances (like even some pain relievers).

Yes, they do. Eventually their liver fails. However, this is a long process and they may lead normal lives for many years. No, there is no cure.
