It's not bad. But it will NOT keep up with any high end marker, that is a total and complete statement of someone who doesn't know either what a high end marker is, or is just stupid and has like no experience. I am an Amateur paintballer. I have a Dye DM5 and a whole bunch of upgrades, that is what you'd call a high end gun. Spyders are not high end, except the Electra. A barrel just makes your shot a little more accurate, and only noobs get an electric hopper for a low end spyder that can only MAYBE reach 12 balls per second. Don't waste your money buying all these upgrades, just save up money instead of buying upgrades and get a better, "high end", marker.

I have a spyder imagine too. mine is about 9monthes old. I put a ricochet apache led hopper on (electric) and have a14inch j&j ceramic barrel on it I can run it on full auto with minimal ball chopping. so you would maybe want to consider a kingman acs bolt. I'm sure there will still be faster guns out there but I think it would keep up really well especially considering the small investment compared to high end guns.

if your happy playing recball it will keep up with most of the guns on the rec ball field so its solid for that, but if you ever venture to speedball it will never keep up with the higher end guns. in particular you'll never reach the consistency, accuracy, speed, or efficiency of a higher end gun. Upgrade if you want to but its a not a big deal threre is only so much you can do. if you are planning to go to a higher gun eventually go ahead and upgrade i would recommend getting a compressed air tank and hopper, i wouldn't worry too much about your barrel because the higher end guns will have different barrel threads
