Mine were impacted and all 4 had to come out 1at a time. Some times they're all done at once in a hospital. The oral surgeon gave me an orange liquid and after a few minutes I really had buzz going. Didn't feel the Novocaine or the rest of whatever and didn't care. Had Ma drive me home; felt no pain at all. When I woke up ... well that's another story.

I had my wisdom teeth extracted with only the lidocaine injection. I didn't think it was any worse than most of the other dental visits I've had ,but then again I'm not a woose. Talk your dentist into writing you a presciption for oxycontin, that stuff is wonderful. Get a 30 day supply!

You mean your insurance company will pay to have your wisdom teeth taken out, but they won't pay for the pain killers !? I'm sorry there must be a misunderstanding. Either you didn't ask the question right, or you misunderstand what your insurance company will pay for. Taking out wisdom teeth is a very painful experience !

Use novacaine, won't it cover that. It's a local anestetic.
Surely it must be covered.
