So I and my new boyfriend just hooked up on Christmas. We've been talking before that though. You know talking as in we like eachother alot and we might go out? Turns out we did. Thing is, I liked him since 8th grade. Then he moved and I never seen him again. Now I found him and we like eachother and all that good stuff. We were talking on MySpace for so long before we actually exchanged numbers. We talked about so much stuff, asked soo many questions. Now when we get on the phone we are speechless. We'll talk about something for like 5 mins then it's dead silence. I feel bad, I don't want himn to like break up wit me because we can't even have a decent conversation. You know what I mean? I also forgot to put we have not met yet, I mean I met him in real life before, like I said I used to like him SO much in 8th grade. We talk on the phone and have NOTHING to say. I get scared he is going to call it off, plus he didn't call me at all yesterday. I haven't heard from him since Christmas morning.

you both just sound shy. Next time you talk online make a note of what you talked about. Then when you get on the phone remember all the things that were interesting then.
If the silence thing happens again just say...we both seem kind of shy on the phone but not online, why do you think that is? Then at least he will know its not you being bored.

Oh, Honey, I totally know what you are talking about. Problem is, I don't really have an answer. Some people are great on the phone and some are really not. Since you've known and liked him for so long, you have history. Do you know people in common you could discuss? Tell him that you are SOOO not a phone person? (I'm not) It's best to be up front. This is not a big problem. It will pass, I promise.

maybe u guys have been so used to using other means of comunication that its awkward now that u guys are finally talking face to face. What did u guys talk about through facebook? Next time maybe make a list about...current events, movies, music, things that are common ground to the both of u. Hopefully things will become more relaxed btw. the two of u. Good Luck!

well if he's in a different city he's probably with a diff. girl, long distant relationships are hard to maintain, but it does not mean he does not like you, he just don't know how to tell you he's moved on.
