Nah, not funny. That would be reassuring.

I went to a Catholic school and never heard of Darwin 'til much later in life. I have read something of his theory, and don't get the genius connection. Some things are still in evolution as far as changing in character and substantiated looks...the races are mixing, the animal species are dying out. All is in a constant flux. Change is natural in all living things. Even the rocks change over time. It's the natural breakdown of things.
Personally, I love Science and the History Channel, but most of all, I love God and Jesus the Christ, my Savior.

I came from a Christian school (1-12) and studied Darwin's works and all types of science. There was no discussion of hating science and Darwin was not considered a genius - he was NOT deemed any smarter than the other highly regarded scientists that we studied.
What's your point?

What's your evidence that kids -- all kids, or even most kids -- who come out of Christian schools think Darwin was a genius?
Maybe he was a genius, but if he was, it wasn't because of his theory of evolution.
So far, that theory hasn't been proven, and it's not supported by the fossil record.
