Yes you should neuter your puppy,it is healthier for the dog and helps prevent some diseases. It also reduces the homeless pet population.

Ok, I'm guessing your puppy is a boy, so the term would be "neuter". If your puppy is a girl, the it would be "spayed".
Don't worry about the spelling, I have trouble with it too.

If your dog is just to be a pet, I would highly suggest fixing the animal so it cannot have unwanted pups. That helps stop unwanted litters that mearly get put to sleep by the vet.

There are people who show their animals, so often the dog is left without surgery if the owner takes their dog to pet shows. Often these are the dog breeders that do this.

Neuter him? Yes you should if you don't want him to turn into a monster. Ideally do it at 6 months, that way he can grow up a bit but not turn aggressive, dominant, or start marking and thinking only about females.
Neutering him will also provide him with better health by preventing prostate problems, testicular cancer, and the bad behavior discussed earlier.

If you don't want any more puppies, I would neuter him. If he is actually a she, you may want to spay her so that you don't have to deal with her "heat cycles" (everyone knows that's no fun!) Choose what is best for you and your puppy. He may try to run away to find a female "companion", no doubt ably will also try to "use" your leg alot too, if left un-neutered.

Good luck with your new baby!

You should NEUTER your puppy even if it's just going to stay inside. Neutering helps keep pets happier and healthier which makes them better companions for us.

I believe you mean Neuter. If it's a male, it gets neutered. If it's a female is gets spayed.
Health wise, neutering decreases it's urge to lift it's leg. spaying (especially in small breeds) eliminates the risk of pyometria (infection of uterus) and reduces the risk of mammary tumors/cancer.
you don't HAVE to, but it's better to have them castrated. It elimnates the chance of an accidental pregnancy, reduces health risks later in life, and generally makes life easier when you have a pet.
Please have yor pet spayed/neutered!

I hope so. There are enough in the world now and it would be the responsible thing to do. and there seems to be some benifits also.
no marking of teritory when a female is in heat seems to be the best one

do you mean neuter? yes you should. it helps to control the dog population if you do and it is safer for them because they won't go wandering on the road looking for another dog to mate with. it also helps to reduce certain cancers and other illnesses.

I would suggest you do if you want him as a pet. If a male animal is left unneutered they will constantly try and run away to find a mate.
