well, a few countries have a per capita income of less than a dollar a day, so someone obviously lives on that little.
However, being a tourist, they're going to try to get you to spend more. If you learn the language, perhaps you can live as the locals do.
I lived in the USA on less than a dollar a day for a while, and France. It was tough, but at least there's running water and some freedom to roam. take a tent with you, a fishing net, and look out for wolves and bears.
The UK has free health care. sure, rent is expensive, but there are plenty of abandoned buildings, and if you help clean up some youth hostels let you stay for free.
A can of beans can be bought for about 15 cents (9p) and a large bag of oats that could last a week for about 50 cents (35p). If you live cheap, you don't have to spend much money.

No such country exists. Nowhere is the world is the rate of exchange that bad, not even in the most war-torn, undesirable places on Earth. In fact, if such a place existed, you probably wouldn't want to vacation there.

There are good countries to visit. There are countries where you can live on $1.00 a day. I doubt you will find both in the same place. If you like to eat good for little money, especially if you like BBQ, Brazil is a nice place to visit.
