6-2/3 cups white bread cubes
2/3 (8 ounce) package lowfat cream cheese, softened
5-1/4 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup and 3 tablespoons half-and-half cream
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon confectioners' sugar
DIRECTIONS
Place bread cubes in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in milk, half and half, maple syrup, and vanilla until mixture is smooth. Pour cream cheese mixture over the bread; cover, and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning, remove souffle from refrigerator, and let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, and serve warm.

The Creme cheese is spooned into the egg and milk mixture - NO Cinamonn! It is heated or melted (microwaved) into the mixture - The amount of creme cheese is according to taste. The bread is then dipped into this mixture while it is still warm and cooked. the resulting pieces of French toast are then put in alternate layers with still melted mixture of sauce (like lasagna). Place this into an oven with a syrup or brown sugar and cinammon topping (heavy) and heat for 5 minutes at about 325 degrees American. Slice up into bits and stir with a large spoon and serve.

Special French Toast
From Diana Rattray,
A special French toast with cream cheese filling, made with sliced French or Italian bread, eggs, cream cheese, and other ingredients. Serve with maple syrup or fruit topping.
INGREDIENTS:
1 long loaf French or Italian bread, about 8 to 10 ounces
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
4 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Canola oil
PREPARATION:
Cut bread on the diagonal into about 16 slices. Spread cream cheese on 8 slices of the bread, on one side only. Sprinkle pecans over slices with the cream cheese spread. Top each spread slice with a plain slice of bread.
You will have 8 "sandwiches." Beat eggs and milk in a shallow bowl until smooth. Add sandwiches to the mixture, turning several times to coat thoroughly.
Heat butter and in a heavy skillet over medium heat. When butter stops foaming, add all of the sandwiches in a single layer. Fry for about 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and crisp. Serve with maple syrup or other fruit topping.
Serves 4.

Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Melt butter and pre-heat glass baking dish, in the oven. Place corn flakes on plate, dip both sides of bread into flakes. Place in hot baking dish (butter should be near sizzle). Bake about 20+- minutes (depends on size of bread), do not turn. Bottoms will be dark golden brown.
