I'm tired of being lonely, seeing my friends having fun with their boyfriends, while I'm alone at home during the weekends. I've had crushes, but it always seems like I'm choosing the wrong guy. One of the problems I have had is that I'm a year younger than the rest of the kids: being 14 in sophomore year isn't fun, and definetely is not something that guys seem to like. I hate being alone, and I hate being different, because it seems like nobody likes my kind of different. I'm not unpopular, I don't think I'm ugly, I have lots of friends, and I don't think I'm mean; so why can't I get a boyfriend. I'm trying not to be desperate or anything, and nobody else knows that I feel this way. How come I have never had a boyfriend?

don't be desparate.lots of girls your age go thru the same thing.the best thing you can do is get involved in school
and community activities.
it seems to me that at 14 you are an accelerated learner
most sophmore's are 15-16 so you are ahead of your peers.the tryin to fit in thing with the other sophmore's may be just what is shying away.try a different approach.
just be you,adopt a who cares attitude,make it unimportant that they accept you.you however must be able to accept yourself before others will.
allways leep in mind that you are a special young lady
and one of a kind,a guy will come along in time,but it must take time.
remember,your only 14,but dude yer a SOPHMORE!!!

Don't worry. Your'e all of 14. Do you know how long humans live. You have so much time. If your younger than the rest then of course you take longer to achieve things. If you are in a class an age group above you then this is an indication that you are better than ordinary. You are advanced. And the way you sound and express youself , you sound like a very good catch. So be patient and you will meet people your own age. For you now have and opportunity for a few years to get you head together and decide and act upon what you really want.
Also you will be surprised how short time goes when you LIVE it. Don't worry about not having a boyfriend now. Just enjoy you life and live it. Don't worry about boys. I am a man and I know. Believe me. Trust me. With your obvious qualities and emotional substance, they will come to you.

Relax, TT. At your age boys should not be your primary objective in life. You are very smart and have a lot to offer, but you can't just reach out and capture a bf. Take advantage of this time in your life to become the BEST person, the BEST friend, the BEST daughter, etc., etc.
1. Groom immaculately
2. Dress nicely
3. Study harder than ever
4. Spend an hour a day in the library
5. Spend an hour a day at the gym
6. Honor your parents and your teachers
7. Get involved in a worthy school function
8. Volunteer a few hours a week for a worthy cause
9. Help someone every day
10.Go to Church
11.Invite your friends to Church
12.Take group dance lessons

Please don't be so hard on yourself! Fourteen is such a difficult age to be true to yourself. There are plenty of guys who will like you just as you are. They are just afraid to show it or too young still to recognize it.
If you aren't already, get involved in an afterschool activity where you can meet guys who are interested in the same things as you. It could be theatre or music or literature or whatever. Then you can try to talk to and get to know a few of the guys there.
Try not to focus so much on those guys that are "wrong." It is good that nothing ever came of those crushes because those guys will only break your heart.
I know it won't help to tell you that you are young and have your whole life ahead of you. That you shouldn't be in such a rush to date and be with boys. That is something you will only see when 14 is far in the rearview mirror. Just know that things aren't as bad as they seem and there are a lot of good folks here that wish you well -- including me!

You are still young. You still have a long way to go. You have lots of friends around you. Therefore there are no reason for you to feel such. Pray and take things easy. Try not to get involve in relationship at this young age. When the time comes, you'll find the ur Mr Right.

I think you will not find the one the whole time your looking for him. You should just take things as they come relax and enjoy yourself. I believe you will no when you have met the one and and he will come out of the blue, maybe someone you have known for a while but never thought of in that way. Hope this helps

love isn't a searching program, and maybe ur tired of being alone cause uv havent find the right one (if theres on).... hell come when u least spect them too. or that is what ppl says to me.

this is the same with me......i am always the "friend" never the "girl" it suxs and i liked the wrong guys too....like i liked this one guy but he said that i was stupid and is GOIN OUT WITH MY BEST FRIEND!!! my bff has done that 2ce to me....so now i like some1 that i kno she cant go out with...cuz he is her cousin!lol! im 14 too and a freshman....i am the youngest.... i kno it suxs!

maybe you intimidate boys?? It always seemed to me that some girls were just single because they were beautiful so boys didn't think they had a chance...
