You don't! It's not a good idea at all. If you must have your tongue pierced, then it's better to go to a professional, make sure you find one that has a good reputation and clean facilities. Keep in mind, some people have lost the ability to taste or speak after having their tongues pierced, and some people end up drooling more. And of course, as with any piercing, there's the risk of infection. Good luck.

IF you must do this home I would not recommend it at all,but if you must Rinse your mouth good with Listerine and make sure the needle and tongue ring is sterile If you are not sure I would either Boil both or use alcohol to cleanse them with. You really should let a professional do it though.

I HOPE U GET A LIZZARD TONGUE OR LOSE YOUR TASTEBUDS..
HAHA CUZ THATS EXACTLY WHAT CAN HAPPEN!

BUT IF YOU MUST.... TRY THE MALL. THE ONE HERE HAS AT HOME TONGUE PIERCING KITS. OTHER WISE U SHOULD STERILIZE YOUR NEEDLE THE BEST YOU CAN. AT HOME I'M SURE U CANT GET THAT STERILE. TRY BOILING THE NEEDLE AND USING ALCOHOL.. THEY USUALLY USE A CLAMP FOR THIS... YOU CAN USE IDK COOKING TONGS? MARK WITH A MARKER WHERE U WANT IT AND TRY TO AVOID THAT HUGE VEIN YOU SEE. AND A 16 GUAGE NEEDLE ISNT BIG ENOUGH... YOUR GONNA DO ALL THAT AND THE TONGUE RING WONT GO THROUGH... CHANGE FAST YOUR TONGUE WILL START CLOSING IMMIDIATELY AND LEAVE IN FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE TRYING TO CHANGE IT..
GOOD LUCK

You don't. It will go very slowly, which will cause it to hurt much more than at a professional place, and you run a much greater risk of infection/injury, which, best case scenario, will cause you to have to take it out and all that pain would have been for nothing. I'm assuming you want one but aren't 18 yet, right? So, just wait it out. You might decide by then you never really wanted one anyway.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. Its not worth the risk, there are lots of BIG blood vessels in your tongue. Go to a professional if you must do this, my son had his tongue pierced for about a year and finally took the thing out because he was tired of it not healing.

For the love of god- do not do this at home. Leave it to a pro! You won't be fast enough to do it yourself and it will hurt like hell. You will end up bleeding alot more too if you do it too slowly. Besides, you need a clamp to prevent the tongue from naturally constricting. Just don't do it.

Don't do this at home. There are nerves and large blood vessels. You are taking a huge risk of infection or damaging your tongue forever.

Let a professional do this. Don't want to go the rest of your life with a damaged tongue or worse......half a tongue.
