I AM the truth.

What truth? It is true that most non-believers do not belong to a particular "faith". Faith is something that a person has. It is not something that someone belongs to. That is a "truth". Truth only "hurts" when someone is not comfortable with their "true" self. A non-believer is usually more comfortable with their inner self than someone who is so unsure of his/her own views on life and spirituality that they have to accept someone else's views to feel secure in their faith. Why would you need to feel vindicated by "proving" that your truth is so correct that someone who doesn't feel the way you do would be deserving of "hurt"? Or, for that matter why would you feel compelled to adopt such a condemnation of another persons beliefs as to want to inflict hurt upon them? Shame on you. It seems to me, that you have no concept of what "faith" TRULY means. If you did, you would be at peace with your faith and not at war with others. Too bad that you "Believers" don't practice what you preach. Well, you do. You preach contempt and ill will towards Man, which is quite similar to what the majority of organized religions do. Kinda childish, really. "My God is better than your God". Sounds like you all belong in detention, getting re-educated on treating others in the manner that you wish to be treated. In case you missed the meaning of that. It's called the Golden Rule, schmuck!

There have been many times the truth has hurt.

I don't see the "Truth" you speak of, as being true, so I don't see this as hurtful at all.

Yes, if you are too mentally vested in what the 'truth' is destroying, the truth does hurt.

The truth being that there is no god.

Why would that hurt us when we don't believe in gods to begin with?
